June lM-4 Campus Scene Mann graduates SMU 1 'P ii i i in mmmmmmmm Darlene Mann, daughter of Linton and Patricia Mann of Greenwood, received a Master Fine Arts in Acting degree at Southern Methodist University, Dallas on May 18. honored with the highest award given at SMU in acting, "The Bob Hope Award The Meadows Theatre Professional Acting Class of 1996 which consisted of Darlene and additional classmates performed their showcase in Chicago and New York in April and May. and the Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society in History. She is the daughter of Shirley and Calvin Harrison and the granddaughter of the last Mrs. Louise C. Edwards. She is currently a curator for the Atlanta History Center and the Coco Cola Foundation in ATLANTA, Ga.

Adrienne Nicole Edwards graduated Cum Laude from Spelman College in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History. She has been awarded The Henry Luce Foundation Scholarship for $40,000 to Seton-Hall University in South Orange, N.J. for her Masters of Arts degree in Art Administration. An il ADRIENNE EDWARDS 11 11 i( 1 1 'Pennies for Patients9 Students at East End Elementary School brought spare change recently to be donated to the South Carolina chapter of the Leukemia society of America. The Campaign, "Pennies for Patients," involved jver 70 schools statewide to help raise funds for the Leukemia Society's mission to cure leukemia and related cancers by the year 2000.
