10-A The Bradenton Herald, Monday, July 10, 1972 He Doesn't Make Enough Dough To Pay The Minimum First, 1 would like to say I enjoy reading your column immensely and thank you for all the many problems you have solved. Maybe you can solve mine. I am a senior in high school and this summer had planned to work like many other students. I applied at a local bakery and was appalled at the wage, $1.05 an hour. Doesn't the minimum wage apply to this type of job? And can anything be done? C.B.

Checking with the Wage and Hour Division in 1 Tampa Action Line learned that the minimum wage of $1.60 applies to retail stores only if they do more than a quarter of a million dollars per year. Thus, if the store where you applied grosses less than $250,000 per year, they do not have to pay the minimum. Nothing can be done about it except apply elsewhere. We have many good people here in Manatee. My car broke down in the Manatee National Bank parking lot.

The pastor of the Palmetto Assembly of God Church helped me get started. He even went all the way home to get a battery cable, but the car wouldn't start. I was worried that the car would be towed away, so I went in the bank and Mr. Parish said it would be all right to leave it there until my husband could get it. I had seven children in the car and you know how hot it can be, so the Rev.

Mr. Kenneth L. Bright took us home in his car. I would like to thank Mr. Bright and Mr.

We hope the Reverend will be around if we need help. I am desperate. I lost my little blonde male dog in the area of 22nd Ave. West. I love him very much and hope some- Action Line serves The Bradenton Herald readers by cutting red tape, solving problems and getting answers.

The stale odor is strong and nothing I use seems to work. Mrs.

C. M. S. There's another one for our very responsive readers. Can she remove the mildew and odor? Let's tune in tomorrow and see the next thrilling episode of "As the Mildew A man came to our house on the Fourth of July That's as far as we were able to understand.

There was an organ playing in the background that completely smothered all other sounds. So, if the person who had a problem with a man on the Fourth, and still feels we should know about it, will please call again, we'll try to help. I have a deaf Dalmation dog who 1 in spite of our watching will sometimes get out. People have been real good to us in bringing the dog back. The other day he got out and a family with four children brought him back to our home.

If they will stop back we would like to see them. They will know who they are and where they took the dog. We so appreciate what they did. Mrs. G.L.R.

That should be an easy combination to find. A family with four youngsters who picked up a Dalmation dog and returned it. We have so many broken-hearted owners who get their dogs back it is a pleasure to write about a family who returned a dog. Can you please tell me where I can buy a Prisoner of War bracelet? H.M.J. Action Line has received several inquiries about this bracelet.

We called Kirk Kerekes, student and now working at New College. He supplied the following information. The name of the organization selling the bracelets is VIVA (Voices In Vital America), 10966 Le Conte, Los Angeles 90024. Their number, area code 213, 473-2901. The bracelets come telephone in two finishes, nickle-plated, copper-plated, $3.00.

As we understand it, each bracelet has the name of an individual prisoner engraved on it. slacks, the small solemn defendant stood in a waist-high wooden enclosure manacled to two husky policemen as the chief prosecutor, Lt. Col.

David Israeli, read the four charges against him. Asked if he understood, Ok a moto replied quietly, "Yes." Asked how he pleaded to the charges, Okamoto replied: "On the 30th of May 1972 I discharged firearms with two other I forgot their I do not know how many people I "I have many things I want to say in I fired arms not only at tourists but at a policeman as well. Then he pleaded guilty. In effect, the charge sheet ac cused Okamoto of participating with two other Japanese radicals, Yasuyaki Yasuda and Tsuyoshi Okudaira, in the murder of 26 persons at Lod Air-, port May 30. Yasuda and Okudaira were also killed, and 67 other persons were wounded in the carnage.

The Japanese were acting for the Arab Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Three of the charges against Okamoto carry a maximum penalty of death. But the only person ever put to death by Israel was Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann, and Premier Golda Meir has expressed oppo-1 sition to capital punishment for Okamoto. The three most serious charges against him are membership in a group that fired arms and threw grenades on May 30 at Lod Airport causing the death of 26 persons; discharging a firearm at passengers and visitors at Lod; and throwing a grenade with intent to kill and cause damage to property. The fourth charge is performing a service for an unlawful organization.

Okamoto's Israeli lawyers, Max Kritzman and David Rotlevy, said he had to plead innocent. because Israeli law follows the British procedure requiring such a plea in capital cases. The innocent plea forces the prosecution to prove its case in court as a safeguard against a miscarriage of justice that could result in the execution of the defendant. The prosecution said it would call 13 witnesses in trial, which is expected to take no more than four or five days. Only in Eichmann's trial did the security measures equal the precautions taken today.

Bobby Ready To Play Favorite Chair Comes REYKJAVIK, Iceland -The Boris Spassky-Bobby Fischer world chess match can begin-Fischer's favorite chair has arrived. The swivel chair in metal and black leather was flown from New York to Iceland and put on the stage in the Reykjavik chess hall Sunday. Spassky's Russian advisers arrived shortly after the much talked about chair and studied it suspiciously. Then they left without comment. Now the Icelandic organizers face a new problem: Where to find a similar chair in Iceland? "It would look better if both Spassky and Fischer had the same chairs," said Gudmundur Thorarinsson, president of the Chess Federation.

Fischer took one look at the dozen different chairs the Icelanders had assembled from Several days ago while shopping at Mae's Fabrics I found of keys.
