He was 88. Dr. Gibb was born Dec. 30, 1906, in Drayton, Ontario, to Hugh and Mary Susannah Gibb. Dr. Gibb was a member of the the U.S. Army Medical Corps in World War II, serving in India. After the war, he moved to Port Chester, where he opened a practice. He married Virginia Johnson around 1960.

She died in 1986. Dr. Gibb worked as a general surgeon, in addition to his obstetrics-gynecology practice. He retired in the early 1980s. He was a fellow of the American Academy of Surgeons and a member of several other medical organizations.

He was a member of Rye Presbyterian Church. Dr. Gibb is survived by five nieces and two nephews. Two brothers, Robert Gibb and Kenneth Gibb, and one sister, Susan Gibb, died earlier. William H.

Graham Funeral Home of Rye is handling arrangements. Leonard J. Desio: retired truck driver Leonard J. Desio, a retired truck driver who had been with the Westchester County Department of Public Works for 38 years, died Monday in Port Chester, where he lived his entire life. He was 83.

He was a member of the Port Chester Senior Citizens and the Port Chester Nutrition Program. In addition to his wife and daughter, Mr. Desio is survived by another daughter, Agnes Jensen of Port Chester; a brother, Anthony Desio of New Rochelle; a sister, Carmella "Millie" Roberto of Greenwich, five grandchildren; and one greatgrandson. Three brothers, Michael, Jerry and Alphonse Desio, and two sisters, Rose Raina and Angelina Desio, died earlier. Craft Memorial Home Inc.

Catalano: Harrison resident Angelina M. Catalano, a Harrison resident for 25 years, died yesterday at Nathan Miller Center for Nursing Care Inc. in White Plains. She was 91. She was born June 19, 1903, in New 'York City to Saverio and Josephine DiPoala Trafficanda.

She was raised in New York City and attended Alfonse grammar school there. On Sept. 22, 1920, she married Emanuel Albert Catalano in New York City. The couple moved to Brooklyn and then Queens before moving to Harrison in 1969. Mrs.

Catalano was a parishioner of St. Gregory's Church in Harrison. She is survived by a son, Salvatore J. Catalano of Harrison; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her husband died in 1975.

Obituaries Frances Noble Sackett Borst: artist, writer Frances Noble Sackett Borst, an artist, writer and founding president of Friends of the Read Wildlife Sanctuary, died of complications from cancer surgery at United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester.

She began her career in painting and later did sculpture. Her work. was shown at galleries, museums and national juried shows in New York City and Westchester. She had chaired several New York area art shows. Mrs.

Borst was a visiting artist, teaching in local schools. She was also chief curator of the works of American luminist painter Howard Russell Butler. Mrs. Borst contributed articles and theater reviews for the Gannett Suburban Newspapers and Spotlite magazine and was editor of the first Women in the Arts newsletter. She served as editor of the Mamaroneck Artist Guild newsletter and was art editor for Sound- Ruth H.

Sutton: former Ruth H. Sutton, a former resident of Tarrytown, Irvington and Rye who owned a store in Tarrytown, died Saturday at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Fla. She was 82 and lived in Cocoa Beach for the past nine years. Mrs. Sutton moved to Cocoa Beach in 1986 after living in Rye for 14 years.

She lived in Irvington from 1952 to 1972 and in Tarrytown from the early 1930s to 1952. She owned Holt Sportswear in Tarrytown from 1960 to 1970. Mrs. Sutton was born May 1, 1912, to Wilber and Bertha Shepard Hammond in Yonkers. After first attending Yonkers public schools, she moved to North Tarrytown, where she completed her education.

On Nov. 14, 1931, she married Neil Sutton in Tarrytown. Mrs. Sutton is survived by a son, Neil Sutton III of Longmeadow, two daughters, Nancy McCabe of Cocoa Beach and Sue 0'Brine of Lake George, N.Y.; a sister, Jean Smith of Louisville, nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died Dec.

13220. Carmelo Carino: retired supervisor Carmelo Carino, a former Port Chester resident, died yesterday St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in Ilion, N.Y. He was 84. Mr.

Carino was born July 15, 1910, to Gerardo and Isabel Mary Carino in Greenwich, Conn. He attended Port Chester schools and lived in the village most of his life. He left Port Chester three years ago to live in Ilion. On June 4, 1939, he married Mary L. Kalvaitis at Our Lady of Mercy in Port Chester.

His wife died March 6, 1992. Mr. Carino was a supervisor for Arnold's Bakery in Port Chester and later at the company's Greenwich site. He retired in 1972. He was a World War II veteran.

Mr. Carino was a parishioner of Annunciation Church in Ilion and Our Lady of Mercy in Port Chester. He also was a member of the Port Chester senior citizens group. Mr. Carino is survived by a son, Charles Mark Carino of Ilion; a daughter, Joy Ann Corbo of Chadds Ford, two brothers, Gabriel and Gerard, both of Port Chester; two sisters, Anna Frances of Port Chester and Helen Kalvaitis of South Salem; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Borst was a member of the Junior League, the National Farm and Garden Association, Mamaroneck Artists Guild, The Writers Union and the Mamaroneck Women's Club. She married Alan W.

Borst in 1956 in Wilton, Conn. They later divorced. She was a member of the White Plains Unitarian Church. Mrs. Borst is survived by her mother of New York City; two sons, Alan of Manhattan and John of Nyack; a daughter, Anna Henry of Brooklyn; three brothers, Nelson, George and Paul Sackett, all of New York City; and one grandchild.
