owner For 10 years he was a custodian for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in White Plains He retired In 1973 In addition to his wife of New Rochelle Mr Broadnax is survived by three sisters Edna Johnson Louise Watson and Thelma Hobson all of Akron Ohio Two brothers Joseph Broadnax and Thomas Broadnax died earlier Arrangements are by Barney McClanahan Funeral Home Inc of New Rochelle the Rye Tercentenary Golf Tournament in I960 according to his son Jack Ebetino of Chevy Chase Md He was also an original member of the Rye Golf Club serving for many years on its golf committee Previously he assisted in golf activities at Apawamis Club fbr many years In addition to his son Mr Ebetino is survived by a daughter Ann McCabe of Bethel Conn three granddaughters Lisa Karen and Alison McCabe all of Bethel Conn and two brothers Fred Ebetino of Day-ton Ohio and Michael Ebetino of Clearwater Fla William Graham Funeral Home in Rye is handling the arrangements treasurer of the chapter for 15 years She was also treasurer and first vice president of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women in New Rochelle She was a longtime nember of The Clan Social Club in New Rochelle She was also assistant treasurer chairwoman of the auditing committee and chairwoman of the annual citi-xens awards luncheon for the Mount Vernon branch of Key Women of America Inc Mrs Weeks was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Mount Vernon Among other nieces nephews and cousins survivors include niece Lois Fountain of Mount Vernon nephew Eric Blunt of Hempstead Long Island andcou-slns Gladys Humphrey and Sylvester Edwards both of Mount Vernon Her husband died in 1977 Arrangements are being handled by the Lee 0 Wood Funeral Home in Mount Vernon Geneva Weeks a retired businesswoman and longtime Mount Vernon resident died Friday at Mount Vernon Hospital Mrs Weeks and her husband owned and operated Courtney's Lounge a club and restaurant in New Rochelle for 32 years until the mid-1970s Mrs Weeks was born in Henderson NC to Harry and Alberta Jones She came to Mount Vernon as a child and was educated in Mount Vernon public schools She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and went on to train as a beautician She married Courtney Weeks in the late 1920s in Mount Vernon Mrs Weeks was a charter member the Aaron A Lewis Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 6396 in Mount Vernon a member of the Mount Vernon branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a past matron of the Progressive Chapter 42 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Mount Vernon She served as ex-Mamaroneck businessman Philip Ebetino a lifelong Rye resident and golf enthusiast died Sunday of heart follure at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla Mr Ebetino was 81 He was born April 8 1912 to Salvatore and Angelina Vallarel-li Ebetino in Rye where he attended public schools He served in the Army during World War II In 1939 Mr Ebetino married Lucille Mainiero at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye She died last year For 37 years Mr Ebetino worked at the Rye post office retiring as foreman of the mails in 1973 Mr Ebetino was an avid and skilled golfer winning numerous local golf tournaments including ex Josephine Santoro Ciraco a former Mamaroneck resident died Friday at Conway (SC) Hospital She was 68 She was born July 31 1925 in Mamaroneck to Anthony and Anna Funicelio Santoro In Mamaroneck she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mamaroneck Fire Department GI Civics Association and of the Centuriettes Club and was a member of the Columbiettes Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus In South Carolina she was a parishioner of St James Church in Conway Mrs Ciraco is survived by her husband Michael Ciraco schools custodian from New Rochelle died Saturday at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center He was 83 He was born April 3 1910 to Social and Louise Broadnax in Montgomery Ala where' he was educated Mr Broadnax came to New Rochelle 36 years ago and has lived in the city ever since Before moving to New Rochelle he also lived in White Plains On Nov 14 1966 he married Leah Johnson in Harrison Depew Brewer a former Mamaroneck businessman died Saturday at his home in Dunedin Fla He was 87 He was born Oct 1 1906 to Reuben and Frances Depew Brewer in Mamaroneck where he grew up and graduated from Rye Neck public schools Mr Brewer earned a bachelor's degree in business from Boston University After college he returned to Mamaroneck to work in his family's bank the Mamaroneck National Bank which foiled in 1933 That year he started Brewer Insurance Agency which is now based in Harrison and run by his only son Du bar Brewer of Harrison In 1937 he married Adrienne Mungar in Mamaroneck His wife died in 1985 While living in Mamaroneck Mr Brewer was secretary and president of the Mamaroneck Le Elton Hill: ex-Westchester resident LeElton Hill formerly of Westchester County died Friday at his home in Spring Valley He was 38 He died of pneumonia said his sister Vercell Hill of Maryland Mr Hill was born March 30 1955 in Fairmont NC to Norma Newkirk At age 13 he moved with his fomily to the
