When you sing, Michael, the girls swoon, tear their hair out and generally go into hysterics. I saw a lot of hysterical girls that evening Including the young lady sitting directly behind me who maintained a high level screech the entire evening that was aimed directly at my fragile ear drum.

Most of your numbers were house rockers including "Sing Hallelujnah, Looking Through the Window, Ain't That Peculiar, Live It Up Girl, and Superstition, where Little Randy, who plays the conga drums, wowed the audience with his singing and dancing. Your medly of Jackson Five hits was the piece de resistance such as 1 Want You Back, ABC, and The Love You Save. The ballads, led by Michael and Jera-malne, were hypnotizing including Got To Be Thera, Daddys Home, Ben, Never Can Say Goodbye, and With a Childs Heart- which is Michaels latest single. A few segments of your performance bordered on the stick such as the Skyrider" sequence during which you simulated a smoke filled sky and the siren added to tho Temptations, Pappa was Rolling Stone, but it really didnt matter much because it added a dramatic effect to your well balanced show. The acoustics were also off a bit and sometimes drowned you and the others out, but you overcame these technical difficulties.

The Jackson Fivd finale was high voltage. Your rendition of Isaac ayes Walk On," with the lights flashing on and off was just thrilling. Leading Stayed Away Too.Long, you performed like musical dynamos, and after being called back for an encore, kept up the maddening pace and finally brought the house down with your musical expertise. As I mentioned earlier, the Jackson Five are the bona fide originals and after youve all growiruip, I can at least say that sras there for one of your musical triumphs. Sincerely, Doris G.

Worsham Tribune Teen Writer P.S. I almost forgot to mention that I kind of liked the Sisters Love, a four-member Binging group, that opened the show but they sounded more like a' Baptist choir than four singers. After they tone down their act and get together on their choreography and dresses, they will probably go far. Dear Michael, Marlon, Tito, Jermaine and Jackie: This it just a little note congratulating; all of yea in the Jackson Five on your latest electrifying performance at the Cow Palace last Friday evening. Although there werent as many people in attendance as In your past three performances it the huge auditorium, aura the majority of the concert goers- enjoyed your hour concert, including myself and I'm well over 20 yean of age.

Your costumes were dax-zling a kaleidoscope of patchwork colors and pat-tems end coupled with your profeMionallsm, imaginative choreography (that seemed mm natural than the plastic and stilted dancing which is Indicative of most Motown groups) and youthful showmanship, your latest musical effort was a delight The Jackson Five are the originals id the "teeny-bopper musical genre, but Pm afraid thats an unwarranted and Inaccurate label; you were the trendsetters for groups like the Osmonds and the Sylvers, who emulate your style with open abandonment (costumes, choreography, et al).
