Friday, Feb. 26, 1965 Seminary Plans Theology By TV The San Francisco Theological Seminary at San Anselmo will begin using special closed-circuit radio facilities on Tuesday to broadcast courses in Bible and theology to laymen and pastors in Presbyterian churches throughout the Bay Area. Some 44 churches, ranging from Santa Rosa to Livermore and Gilroy, are tied into the circuit which uses the carrier wave of the seminary-licensed station KXKX-FM. It is believed this is the first time the closed-circuit system has been used for theological education.

The professors will lecture from a studio in Montgomery Hall on the San Anselmo campus which is linked to the KXKX-FM studios in San Francisco. From there the broadcast will be relayed simultane- ously with regular radio material. The first course, starting Tuesday, will be on the Prophet Jeremiah taught by the Rev. David N. Freedman, professor of Old Testament at the seminary.

It will continue each Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m. until May 6. For laymen, the Rev. John R. Bodo, Professor of Practical Theology, will teach Responsibility in a Changing each Wednesday at 8 a.m.

from March 17 to June 9 and the Rev. Edward V. Stein, Assoc. Professor of Pastoral Psychology, will lecture on Stranger Inside on Thursday at 8 p.m. The courses are intended for group participation and several hundred people are expected to join.
