Kangaroo 7 Johns Hopkins National Guard To Reorganize For Missile War SACRAMENTO national official said yesterday the California National Guard will be completely reorganized beginning Jan. 1 to face the possibility of a missile war. The statement was made by Maj.

Gen. Donald W. McGowan, chief of the National Guard Bureau's Army Division, a keynote speaker at a conference of more than 250 National Guard officers from eight western states, Alaska and Hawaii. McGowan told newsmen that the Guard was modernizing to meet the missile threat and would, in event of war, be able to mobilize overnight. are recasting the whole National Guard he said.

14, 1958 29 Lucille Bliss, known in the Bay Area and in Hollywood as the With a Thousand will be master of ceremonies at Marin third annual talent show Nov. 25 from 7:30 to 9:30 p. m. in the San Rafael High School auditorium. Although a resident of San Francisco, Miss Bliss commutes regularly to filmland, where her voice is recorded on such movie and TV cartoon strips as and (she does Tuffy the smallest mouse), and record albums.

Her work in San Francisco includes acting in the TV film series and and appearances in many animated TV commercials. She was the associate producer of the recent Don Sherwood Amateur Much of Miss Bliss's leisure time is devoted to volunteer work for the Embarcadero Armed Services YMCA in San Francisco, where she produces and directs talent shows which have started several servicemen on their way professionally. Her stint with the Marin YMCA show will be her first appearance as a master of ceremonies in Marin County, although this fall she was instrumental in helping to uncover amateur talent for the Sunny Hills Grape Festival. All Marin County teen-agers are invited to attend the show, and are asked to bring a 25- cent donation to the YMCA world service fund.
