Tuesday at United Hospital in Port Chester after a long illness She was 74 and lived at 377 Westchester Ave From 1962 to' 1966 she worked as a secretaryat Our Lady Of Mercy School in the village Her husband William Fallon served on the Port Chester Board of Education from 1954 until 1958 when he was fatally injured in a car accident after attending a dinner dance honoring then Schools not to be swayed Tuesday by Trustee Benedict Cutrone's assurances that any changes in the budget forced by contract negotiations will be "minimal budget comes close to where it will be It may go up 50 cents or it may drop a Cutrone said of the tax rate negotiations should not be completed post haste just to fit the budget Carbone said the budget contained -enough elasticity tract settlements' would have to rearrange our priorities And take dollars from other Carbone said Employee salaries and benefits next year wul eat up $1187 million or 717 percent of the total budget despite projected staff cuts Carbone attributed most cuts to attrition retirements or child-care leaves because of declining enrollment which is dropping an average of 45 percent a year he said He projected next enrollment aft2800 students down by 135 from this year While Carbone last week ized the budget as Cutrone compared it to the difference between "filet mlgnon" and steak" still enough meet on the table to get
