Leta Briggs Mrs. Lcta Fern Briggs, 83, of 1206 E. Grove, died at Margaret's Manor at 4:25 p.m. Thursday. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Saturday at the Metzlcr Memorial Home, with Dr. John D. Trefzger officiating. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church. She was born at Arrowsmith Feb. 21, 1009, a daughter od Dr. Thomas D. and Marietta Amett Cantrell.

She was married to Strother A. Briggs in Blooming-ton Oct 4, 1911. He died June 14, 1972. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gulda M.

Naffzigcr, Aurora; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A sister preceded her In death. She was a member of First Christian Church, a past matron of Bloomington PEKIN (PNS)-Russell II. Riedlinger, 66, of 1306 S. Seventh died at 5:40 p.m.

Thursday at Pekln Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for some time. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Noel-Henderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Mick officiating.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery al Peoria. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Tazewell County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He was born Sept.

17, 1905, at Peoria, a son of Peter M. and Lena Mohn Riedlinger. He married Sara L. (Sally) Kerr Dec. 6, 1928 at Auburn.

BERGERON COLFAX-John Ernest Hamilton, 66, a native of Colfax and former Bloomington resident, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mattoon Hospital. Mr.

Hamilton lived at Mattoon and worked as a consulting engineer for the Meco Paris. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Schilling Funeral Home, Mattoon, with Dr. A. Mont Massey officiating.

Burial will be Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He was born In Colfax March 22, 1906, a son of D. and Mary Wonderlin Hamilton.

He was married in Bloomington Feb. 12, 1927, to Zella M. De Vary. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Don Tyler, and John Charleston; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Pollock, Flagstaff, a brother, James Spokane, and four grandchildren.

Mr. Hamilton at one time was employed by Eureka Williams Co. at Bloomington. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Loyal Order of Moose at Mattoon. Theodore Meserole ATLANTA (PNS) Theodore "Ted" Meserole 62, died at 8:57 p.m.

Wednesday at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was brought to the Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln where his funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev.

Edward C. Cunningham will officiate. Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born May 15, 1910 in Indiana, a son of Oscar and Addie Merritt Meserole. He married Elva Cravens on July 6, 1936 in Fairfield. Survivors are his wife; five sons, Theodore Roy Harold, Sandy and Arland, all of Atlanta; a daughter, Miss Shirley Merserole, Atlanta, and four brothers, Joseph, Lombard: Walter, Westmont; Embrec, Sanlec, and Clyde, Rochell, and two grandchildren. A brothers and a sister preceded Mr. Meserole in death.

Harry Jones GIBSON CITY (PNS) Harry Jones, 63, died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday at Gibson Community Hospital. His funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lamb Funeral Home, with the Rev. L.

O. Brookman officiating. Burial will be in Gibson City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tonight. Mr.

Jones was born Feb. 22, 1907 at Paxton, a son of Irvin and Ella Rowe Jones. He married Hazel Snider Aug. 9, 1926 in Crown Point, Ind. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs.

Shirley Reynolds and Mrs. Donna Bane, and a son, Dalej all of Gibson City; 8 grandchildren anJ5great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Hyde, Taylorville; two brothers, Charles, Paxton; George, California. He has been a lifelong resident of Ford County and in recent years owned and operated the Tap in Gibson City. LINCOLN Anthony "Tony" Kurtock 64, died at 10:40 a.m.

Thursday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fricke Memorial Home, with the Rev. John Podlashes officiating. Burial will be in Stenbergen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born at Lincoln, July 3, 1908, a son of Andrew and Rose Schydlo Kurtock. He married Naomi DeFrees Sept. 9, 1931, at Souix Falls, S.D.

Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Ralph Lawhead, Lincoln; two half-sisters, Mrs. Earl Stolz, Creve Coeur; Mrs. Richard Boyer, Scottsdale, a brother, John Kurtock, Lincoln; a half-brother, Andrew Kurtock, Mesa, Ariz. Mrs.

Emma Patterson MOUNT PULASKI Mrs. Emma Patterson, 80, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Schahl Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was born July 20, 1892 in Tana County, a daughter of Gifford and Margaret Russell Havens. She was married to Steve Patterson Nov. 11, 1908 in Missouri.

He died in May, 1961. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Mohr, Dubuque, Iowa; a son, Carl Patterson, Mount Pulaski; eight grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. A son preceded her in death. Miss Lydia Brinkman PONTIAC (PNS) Miss Lydia Brinkman, 83, of Momence, died at 10 a.m.

Wednesday at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee. Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Bshrendt Funeral Home, with the burial in Rooks Creek Cemetery. There will be no visitation. She was born in Pontiac, May 5, 1888, a daughter of Simon and Mary Uthmiller Brinkman.

She lived in Pontiac until 30 years ago. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bruer, Pontiac; Mrs. Mayme Ryerson, Graymont; several nieces and nephews. Seven brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

76, of 702 W. Monroe died at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr.

Turner retired in 19G6 from Hayes Hatchery. His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Beck Memorial Home, with the Rev. Nathaniel Gwinn officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Mr. Turner was born Feb. 20, 1896, at Toinpkinsville, a son of John and Mary Turner.

He married Ethel Hamilton Dec. 23, 1917, at Tompkinsville. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Rachelle Wilder Kuszmaul, 1618 W. Locust; a sister, Mrs.

Lulla Burks, Glasgow. two brothers, Gilbert, Oak Park Trailer Court, and Herschcl, Odenton, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a grandson. A veteran of World War Mr. Turner was a member of the Louis E.

Davis Post of the American Legion. Mrs. Holdridge Mrs. Florence Holdridge, 84, 1408 N. Main, died at 6:15 p.m.

Thursday in Brokaw Hospital. She had been seriously ill two days. She was taken to the Stubblefield Funeral Home and later will be taken to the Shaw-Messer Funeral Home in Watertown, S.D. where visitation and funeral services will be Monday. She was born in Janesville, May 19, 1888, a daughter of the Charles Schumanns.

She was married to Robert B. Holdridge on Oct. 19, 1906, in Langford, S.D. He died in 1951. A brother also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Robert E. Holdridge, 4 Crestwood Normal; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Forsyth, Kalispell, and five grandchildren. Before moving here in 1966 she was active in the Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund Alfred C.

Gessler Alfred C. Gessler, 61, of 408 N. Mc- Nulta, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday at the Danville Veterans Hospital following a lengthly illness. His funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Monday at Trinity Lutheran Chapel. The Rev. Ernest L. Gerike will officiate. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and at 10 a.m. Monday at Flinspach-Kurth Memorial Home. Mr. Gessler was born April 15, 1911.

Helen Petrie, Chicago, and Mrs. Ruth Fer-rarra, California, and three grandchildren. His parents and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Gessler.

was a maintenance man until he retired eight years ago for health reasons. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Gess ler was a former member of the Louis E. Davis Post of the American Legion. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Saturday. She was born Aug. 4, 1911 in Minonk Township, a daughter of John and Gretke Harms Kettwich. She was married to Frederick B. Uphoff in Minonk, Oct.

7, 1931. Surviving are her husband; her father, John, Minonk Manor; three sons, Franklin Flanagan; Frederick Pontiac; John, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Fern Schlucter, Minonk; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Krug, Mrs. Lucille Polan, Minonk; a brother, Alfred Kettwich, Eureka; eight grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Harry J. Marshall DANA-Harry J. Marshall, 96, died at Continental Manor Nursing Home at Dwight at 8:10 a.m.

Thursday. His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Folkers Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Richard Denmark officiating. Burial will be in Dana Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at the memorial home. He was born Jan. 12, 1876, at Pleasant Valley, W.Va., a son of Robert and Al-cinda Howard Marshall. He married Annie Cunningham.

She died in 1900. He married Addie Moore April 18, 1920. She died in 1950. Surviving are a stepson, William Powell, Yuma, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Eunice Akridge, Dana; Mrs.

Gladys Dwyer, Long Point; 17 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, a stepdaughter, and several brothers and sisters. He was a retired farmer. Arthur P. Somers FAIRBURY (PNS)-Arthur P.

"Ike" Somers, 80, died Thursday morning at his home in Madison, Wis. He was a former Fairbury resident. He had been ill several years. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Madison, Wis.

Burial will be in Madison. He was born Feb. 1, 1892, in Fairbury, a son of Peter S. and Mary Ann Freehill Somers. Surviving are his wife, Marie; two brothers, Dr Harry Somers, Chicago; Walter M.

Somers, Fairbury. Four brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War I. Mr. and Mrs.

Clyde Gunn and Vincent Somers of Fairbury and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Somers of Chatsworth will leave today to attend services. Harry L. Garmers PEKIN-Harry L.

Garmers, 74, of 340 Ann Eliza, a Pekin barber, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hopedale Medical Complex. He had been a patient four days. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon-day at the Kuecks Funeral Home, with Dr.

James Kerr White officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. He was born in Pekin, March 28, 1898, a son of Gottfried and Theresa Jugens Garmers.

His parents, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was the last of his family. He was a barber and operated a shop at 340 Ann Eliza. Mrs. Bertha Gingerich CHATSWORTH Mrs.

Bertha Gingerich, 86, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at Gibson Manor Nursing Home ia Gibson City. She was taken to the Culkin Funeral Home at Forrest. Hilton Cutler DEER CREEK Hilton L. Cutler, 63, died at Methodist Hospital in Peoria at 7:55 p.m.
