As Full of Heat As An Egg Is Of Meat TELEPHONE LIFE A CHAIN. Has it ever occurred to you that life is like a. great chain extending from one eternity to another? Have you ever- thought that the character of that chain is exactly what you make it? It isn't an inheritance. It is a result. The: result of your own work.

Just as the maker of every kind of a chain goes about his work to make it as strong and serviceable and as ornamental as compatible with utility, so must gains: LADIES 14 karat Solid Gold open faee-CVVatches, Elgin or Allentown Ice Co. 1006 HAMILTON ST. If you have not, better hurry. doing the same thing, primes the crowds for what is to come. The three audiences yesterday did no want to see the little fellow go. Jennings, Jewell Barlowe, in the dope, the dutchman, and the girl, furnish entertainment that merits special mention. Mr.

Jennings, as the dope, has become known far and wide. As a German comedian Mr. Jewell has few equals, and Miss Barlowe has to be seen to be appreciated. Miss Thea Leighton's parodies brought forth screams and encores galore. Miss Leightner is also a finished pianist and presents a highly artistic act.

When we use the 'Word Bargains, we mean just what we say and say just what 612 HAMILTON ST. ALLENTOWN 612 HAMILTON ST. AT THE PERGOLA you go about your work- Of course, yon have many times heard that "a chain is no stronger than its weakest link." And that is true.

Have you ever thought of this weak link in relation to your own life? The weak link in the chain for most of our lives is 'some bad habit or poor trait of character usually some little annoying fault. A small, recreant habit is sufficient to hold us back from the real purpose "of (wir lives from accomplishing its real intent. The great levee or dyke holding back tons and tons of water representing the river or sea, performs its function only so long as there are no breaks in it. The tiniest of leaks anyheie opens the way for the deyasting Hood that destroys the purpose of the wall. The destruction wrought because of the almost infln itesimal leak is almost inealeuable.

Just so some tiny shoteoming will destroy all that we have been protecting, all that we have been taking care of and nurturing all that we have been trying to build a strong dyke for our reputation. Apparently we should not only build the dyke of fair and honest living, oyt we should also look for the chance small leaks and strive to eliminate them. We should not only strive to make our chain attractive, but sTiould also look for the weak links and do away with them as fast as we discover them. If there is 'a weak link in your watch chain you do not trust it to safeguard your watch. You immediately lay it aside or take it to the jeweler with orders to "put in a good link a strong one." You should feel just so about your habits.

They are the weak link3 in the chain of your life existence, we might say, but we are not talking of existence merely. We are talking of 1 life, purposeful, free and worthy. The life of accomplishment, the life of earnestness the only life that if the real life, the life devoted to making themost of ourselves and our opportune ties. We can never be. said to have ni3de the most of our opportunities until we have wiped out as many of our faults a possible.

To do this wc must banish conceit. We must put ourselves under constant introspection. We must learn to know ourselves as wo really aref Hut all this guardianship and Introspection must be of the friendly scrt. It must be of a character to bring unt the best in us whiie destroying the evil, or else it fnils of its purpose- It must not make mere nouneta and nit- quests in two cases, paid the wMness money and jury fees to the parties and that Dr. Strasser drew the money at the county treasurer's office and never reimbursed him The jury money amounted to $12, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
