Mrs Harmon is -the. former Betty Lou Peirce, daughter of Mr and Mrs K. T. Peirce. Charles is the son of Mr and Mrs Chester Harmon. ' Marbel Immerfall, Irvmgtpn, was the bride's only attendant. Walt Mescher was best man. Only members of the family were present. A wedding dinner was held at the Algona Hotel following the ceremony. The couple are now at home at Route 2, Algona, where Mr Harmon is engaged in farming. 'Society Motes 'Weds Al Dubuque Maurna Ruth Murphy, daughter o£ Mrs David Murphy of Dubuque, and Gerald J. Donovan, son of Mr and Mrs George Donovan of St. Paul, Minn., were united in marriage in a ceremony held Saturday at St. Rafael's Cathedral in Dubuque. Mr Donovan is manager of the North Central Public Service Co. in Algona, and following a wedding trip into the west, the couple will be at home in a Morck Apt. on North Phillips St. A number of Algona folks attended the wedding, among them Mr and Mrs Luke Linnan, Joe Lynch Sr., Mr and Mrs Leo Immerfall, Mr and Mrs Richard Carr, Mr and Mrs Joe Bradley, Dr. and Mrs Karl Hoffman and Mrs Carl Morck Sr. *»a«ir Mr dfid .Mrs^Ahdfew Johnson, Mr anS Mrs Harbld Cowan, Mr 'flhd Mi-9 Gferald Fe'rrig, Mr and Mrs Walter Jensen, Mr add Mrs Claude Slagle and Delia and Edith Welter entertained at a party Saturday evening at the Johnson Hduse prior to the dance at the Country Club. Church Circle Met The evening circle of the First Lutheran church met Tuesday evening. Those on committee were Mrs Harold Erickson, Mrs Don Frederick and Mrs F. M. Holt. ' St. Benedict C. D. of A. The St. Benedict C. D. of A. met Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. with Grand Regent Betty Daley presiding. There had been no meetings dur ,ing July and August. Five hundred was played after the meeting with Regina Froehlich winning high prize and Agnes Rosenmeyer winning low. Additional prizes were cup prize won by Fidelia Ricke and plate prize by Louise Arndorfer. img- genc Hobscheidt was called for attendance prize but she was absent. Cliairlady for entertainment was Verna Pfeffer. Refreshments were served by a lunch committee with Juanita Balk as chairlady. Next meeting will be held Oct. 20. A bake sale will be sponsored by the C. D. of A. Sunday Oct. 2, after both Masses.
