Store them in a cool, dry, we 1 1-vent ila ted room Convalescents, be careful kr C. W. LOSSMAN Siebarg Pharmacy The convalescent period which follows an illness is one of the most difficult for the average patient.

Time moves slowly. one's strength returns by degiees. there rs the most extreme impatience to be up end doing. It is the iime above all others to heed the dictum: "Take it easy." All the good work that has been done may lead to a serious relaspse if car? is not taken, with the next convalescent period demanding twice the time and attention. Doctor's orders must be heeded.

These may be comparatively simple: rest, of course, par ticular attention to the diet indicated, regular, refreshing sleep. Take what medication is required regularly, obtain it from a careful druggist. This is the 335th of a series of Editorial advertisements appearing in this paper each week. Selective service calls 60 more farmers for examinations Cook County Selective Service Board No. 1, acting on instructions from state headquarters called more men this week for tion physical examinations. The call does not necessarily mean that they are subject to immediate induction. The examination is a result of a general order requiring that all men under 2fi in class 2-C be examined. Those included should not bo unduly alarmed, state local board members.

The animals are to be used in building up dairy herds in those countries.

The shipment to Venezuela includes six pure bred Brown Swiss bulls and two pure bred Holsteins. There are four Holsteins and two Brown Swiss bulls in the group being shipped to Balboa Heights, in the Canal Zone. Several of the Brown Swiss bulls were sired by the 1942 grand champion Walhalla Wonder Signal. Ten of this bull's 14 nearest ancestors have also been champions at the leading shows in this country. Several of the Holsteins were sired by Pearl Segis Ormsby, whose paternal brother was the All American Senior Yearling bull in 1942.

This is the second time within a year that animals bred on the Curtiss farms have been shipped to foreign lands. Last spring, six Holstein bulls were shipped to India for breeding to Brahma cattle as part of the war feeding program of that country, and particularly to improve the quality and production of milk supply.
