He worked up to his position from a laborer on the ditches, dis judgment and absolute fairness as a superintendent were never questioned. ROBERTSON Home 138. 305 North Main St. Main 134. As the result of a conference yesterday between city trustees and officials of tne Southern Counties Gas Co. it was agreed that the franchise to be issued to the company shall be for a term of twenty-five years.

All other provisions of the proposed franchise were agreed upon several w'eeks ago. Trustee Ey favored a twenty-year term. The gas company wanted a longer term than twenty- five years. The officials of the company stated that most of their franchises elsewhere are for thirty-five years. At the next meeting of the trustees notice of sale of the franchise wilt be read ana ordered published.
