Owens were appointed members of a committee for a buffet supper to be held by Valiant Court 152, Order of the Amaranth. as the group met Friday evening at the home of the royal matron, Mrs. Hugh McKay, 80 Indian Road, Port Chester, to discuss details of the event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 11. Mrs. George T.

Macintyre presided at the business meeting. at which a secretarial report was read by Miss Lillian Brown and the treasurer's report by Mrs. Bertha Sherwood. It was decided at the meeting that a delegation from Valiant Court would attend the reception honoring conductresses of the district, which will be held on May 12 at Hugenot Court, New Rochelle. Mrs.

McKay will head the party. Marciano-Checco Wedding Planned NEW YORK- license to wed was obtained at the Municipal Building here by Miss Josephine Janet Marciano, of 67 Franklin Avenue, Harrison, and La Lawrence John Checco, an artist, of 800 Riverside Drive, New York. The wedding will take place in St. Patrick's Cathedral here on May 14, they said. The Rev. Broderick will officiate.

John Wetmore, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Thomas Houlihan, brother of the bride, was usher. A reception for 50 guests followed at Restaurant, Yonkers. Aftaer a motor trip through New England, the couple will reside in Mamaroneck. Mrs. Wetmore, a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Yonkers, is employed in the Mount Vernon office of the New York Telephone Company.

Wetmore, an alumnus of Port Chester High School, who served a year in the ETO during the war, is a circulation district manager for the Mamaroneck Daily Times. She wore a yellow taffeta gown and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed Spring flowers.

William Maynard of Byram, was best man. Ushers were Donald Carpenter of Jefferson Valley, N. Charles Schweizer of Brooklyn, and Walter Kornthauer of Byram. Miss Tourgee, a White Plains High School graduate, received a B. S.

degree from Syracuse University and a degree in nursing from Adelphi College. She is an industrial nurse with the noon Consolidated Edison Company in New York. Mr. Schmitt, who was graduated from Rye schools and served four years with the Coast Guard, is associated with the Life Savers Corporation in Port Chester.
