WILSON UNO JONES BREAK Miffed Because He Would Not Go on Bench So He Could Go to Senate Spokane, Dec. political break between Senator Wesley L. Jones and ex-Senator John L. Wilson is inevitable with the announcement yesterday by some of Wilson's Spokane henchmen that the latter will be a. candidate for United States senator against Jones four years hence and that the alignment is already being made for the contest.

This announcement Follows quickly the refusal of Senator Jones to accent the federal Judgeship in eastern Washington at the request of President Taft, to make way for the" selection of John L. Wilson to fill out Jones' unexpired term in the S. senate. Wilson's plan of getting rid of Senator Jones through the federal appointment was nipped in the bud by Jones declining the position Monday when it was offered by President Taft. His refusal, it is assumed, has widened the breech between Jones and Wilson, which has been growing, it is stated, since the primary election.

Friends of John L. Wilson here do not hesitate to state that he will undoubtedly be a candidate against tbe Yakima man for the senate in four years, and go so far as to state that tentative plans to this end are already being discussed. Got Through With Mat. Chicago. Dec.
