Winola Unit Board Okays New Budget VIOLA — The Board of Education of the Winola Community Unit met Thursday and adopted the budget for the new year and set the tax levies In the various funds. The expected income and ex­ penditures in each fund are as follows: Educational fund, $249,* 854 and 225,925; building fund, 28,424 and 24,845; transportation fund, 26,839 and 26,620;" municipal retirement, 2,591 and 2,400; bond and interest fund, 32,598 and 26,400. There was no increase made in the tax levy ovet last year. Pol- lowing are the amounts levied: Educational fund, 140,000; building fund, 26,000; transportation fund, 2,000; municipal retirement fund, 2,000. The bond and interest fund levy will be decreased by several $100, as compared to last year. Cleveland Indian coach Mai Harder won 223 games in his 20 years as a pitcher in the American League. New Windsor Society Plans Project NEW WINDSOR - A breakfast and country store will be sponsored by the Martha Society Oct. 3 at the parlors of Calvary Lutheran Church.
