Locust Valley four daughters Lob Relin of Paris Joan Arnold of Katonah NY and Eileen and Stephanie both of Locust Valley and five grandchildren Funeral arrangements are by Dodge-Thomas Inc of Glen Cove and are private A memorial service was scheduled for pm today at St of Lattingtown Arthur Jones 69 Retired School Music Supervisor Rockville Centre Arthur Jones 69 retired head of the music program for the Lawrence School District died of cardiac arrest Sunday in Smith TJaaaaii nrwnmnnitiaa Hospital tVMUMiiU Mr Jones worked for the Lawrence district from 1946 to 1979 He taught band and orchestra and became the supervisor of music in 1966 He was a key consultant to Newsday in organizing the marching band competition and he served as president of the Nassau County branch of the New York State School Music Association He held several awards for excellence in music education Mr Jones was an Army artilleryman during World War and fought in the Battle of the Bulge After his retirement he was a volunteer at South Nassau Communities Hospital and he taught violin privately He also was a deacon choir member and violin soloist at the United Church of Rockville Centre Mr Jones survived by hb wife Frances of Rockville Centre two children David of Rockville Centre and Deborah Dominguez of New York City a sister Suzanne Schoedinger of Columbus Ohio and a grandchild Visiting at the Clayton Forbell Funeral Home Rockville Centre today and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm A service is scheduled at the United Church 10 am Friday Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery Hempstead Locuit Valley John Taft Potter 75 a prominent Inventor and manufacturer in the computer' field who held 150 patents died at his home here Saturday Mr Potter who had a reputation as a fierce
