Roberts was presiding elder of this district four years from ISilS to 1M2. his children were educated in Hargrove college, a daughter is buried in Ardmore and the family has always called this; place their home. At the time of his death hi wife and seven children were at his bedside, one daughter residing in Colorado was unable to come.

Here to attend the funeral are his sons, Rev. Luther Roberts of Tishomingo, Rev. Theodore Roberts of Roff, and John Roberts, a business man of Sulphur. .1. M.

Gardner, an old friend of the deceased is here from AVynnewood to. attend the funeral. Mrs. Roberts started with Ihe remains but was overcome by exhaustion and grief at Oklahoma City and remained there. She was not able to make the entire, trip.
