This representation was brought about by the movement through the streets of hundreds of captured cannon and other implements of war, taken from the Germans and now being displayed in Music Hall. The enormous Victory War Exposition which opened on Saturday, Dec.

14th, will continuo for nine days. As these instruments of war were moved along the streets they were greeted by enormous crowds, who gavo to them probably the same reception as was accorded similar equipment when moved through the re-conquered portions of France and Belgium. In this almost continuous procession of field nrtillpry and smaller ordnance were a number of different sizes of German Howitzers, Trench Mortars, Winnc-werfcrs, 88-Millimeter Field Pieces, and smaller artillery unit3. Tho chief attraction, however, of this parade wcro the famous "Big Bertha" Cannon, tho largest example of German artillery brought to the United States, and a gun from the famous' German Raider, "Emdon," which played so romantic a part in the limited sea service of the Huns. Mr. Stewart was a son of Mr. Chas. L. Stewart, who resided in this city many years ago, and is well remembered by many of our people.
