Signed Austin Texas Aug 14 Austins streets arc lighted with bonfires and a torchlight procession tonight In celebration of the end of the controversy over the contract ordinance for rebuilding the dam The ordinance was passed by the city council tonight and signed by the mayor and members of the water light and power commission with the exception of Commissioner Schneider TJie contract has been accepted by tlie Consolidated Construction Company and the matter is closed as far as the passage of the contract ordinance is concerned One of the terms of the ordinance is that 25000 shall be
