Gee, Wheeler's name to a note for $235. Mr. Wheeler, who lives three miles in Staf? ford, on the Telegraph road, phoned Sergeant Chichester Sunday morning. making the complaint. The Sergeant hired a buggy and drove to Melchor's home, in Stafford, arrested and brought him here to jail.

The case will come up Tuesday. OFF TO RICHMOND Hon. R. Mooeure. of Stafford, was in the city Monday en route to Richmond to assume his duties as member of House of Delegates from Statfonl and King George counties.

DRAWING PLANS FOR MASONIC TEMPLE Mr. Philip N. Stern, architect, is at work on the plans and drawings for the new Washington Masonic Memorial Temple to be erected in this citv. The building will be feet, 3 stories and a handsome structure. The cost will be about $30,000.

Arthur Carneal was also in court; on two Indictments, one for assault on his wife the other for desertion. The former indictment was remanded to the Justice for trial and the latter will be tried on Jan. in the Corporation court. Carneal is represented by Mr. I 0.

Conor Goolrick. Judge Goolrick set Tuesday for the calling of the docket, when all the attorneys will he present and a date fixed for all cases for trial. PETITIONS FOR STATE? WIDE PROHIBITION Petitions are being circulated through? out the city for Statewide prohibition. The petition requests the Anti-Saloon Ix-ague in convention to instruct the Legislative Committee of the league to prepare and present to the General As? sembly a bill giving to the voters Virginia the right to call an i Upon Statewide prohibition. In event that the Ant! SaUm League shall in? struct its Legislative Committee to the action aforesaid.it further petitions the General Assembly of Virginia, of 1910, to enact into law the hill presented by the Legislative Committee the league conferring upon the people the right to call the said election.
