Dave Gilliland were hosts at their home, north of Ludlow, for a retirement celebration in honor of Russell Lamb. The meeting was called to order by Scott Warren, president. Jim Snider and Gayle Fisher led (he pledges. Roll call was a short report on projects. Art Schneider was there to distribute National Report Forms. A money-making project was discussed to serve soft drinks and refreshments at a sale March 22 for Bert Purcell.

Tim Jones, Johnson and Sheryl Warren gave a poultry report. Leanne and Jason Ratliff and Ron Milkv gave health report, on drugs. Refreshments were served by Wanda Sampsel, Shirley and Bonnie Anderson. The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m. Betty Sallee is host to Naomi circle The February meeting of the Naomi Circle of the United Methodist Chruch met Thursday, Feb.

21, in the home of 'Betty Sallee with co-hostesses, Ang Vinson and a i Lehman. Eleven members and a guest, Fern Griffith, were in attendance. Routine business was conducted by Helen Bedell. Members turned in their prayer and self-denial envelopes. The program was presented by Elsie Galatas on the life of Susannah Wesley concluded by devotional and prayer.

RAY C. JEFFRIES Ray Jeffrieses has 25th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Jeffries observed their 25th-wed- ding anniversary today-.

They were honored by a family dinner Sunday, March 16, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Weems, Mooresville.

The dinner was hosted by their children. Ray Jeffries and Shirley J. Stout were married March 20, 1955, in the Mooresville Christian Church. They have spent all their married life east of Chillicothe engaged in farming. They have two children, Douglas Jeffries, Chillicothe, and Jan Jeffries, Prairie Village, Kan.

Free Methodist revival has Idaho pastor as evangelist Revival services wilj be held March 23-28 at the Free i evangelist will be the Rev. Jerry Reed. JERRY REED Reed is pastor at the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church in Caldwell, Idaho. He previously pastored for 20 years in the state of Washington. Reed is active in the church;" growth movement in the U.S.

He is part-time staff member of "Institute for American Church Growth" and of church growth in the Free- Methodist Church. The services will begin 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Each evening services during the week- will be at 7 o'clock.

Friday night will climax the services with a covered-dish supper at 0:30. The King IV from Kansas City will sing during the evening. Everyone is welcome for each service. Ramey Webb celebrates his fifth birthday Mr. and Mrs.

Gary Webb were hosted for a party for their son, Ramey, who was celebrating his fifth birthday, Feb. 24. Those present to enjoy the occasion were his sisters, Glinda, Terrea and Claudea of the home; Kim, Kelly and Casey Kaley, Ruby Ann and Junior Mattox, Amy and Anthony Barron, Stephanie and Melanie Thomas, Jeffry Webb and Johnnie and Mike Lancaster. The birthday cake was depicted as the "Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs." The afternoon was spent playing games, having birthday cake and ice cream and helping Ramey open birthday gifts. As the small guests departed, they were given party favors of books, "The Three Littl Pigs." Tri-Community 4-Hers hold meeting The Tri-Community 4-H club met March 9 at the Chula Community Center.

Fifteen members were present. The program on the topic of ceramics was given by Kim Bowe and Dana CohpHv The next meeting will be at the 4-H building Monday, April 14, at 7 p.m. Discussion will be on 4-H camp, 4-H Club 'Week and a Washington, D.C., trip. Joe Walker of Clinton, as evangelist. Walker is a native of Neelyville, graduating from the Neelyville High School in 1943. He served from 1943-46 in the U.S.

Navy. In 1H6, he married Delia Lorraine Moore and they are the parents of three children, a girl and two boys, Dorothy Bowen of Jenks, James Walker of Lockwood, and Tom Walker of Clinton, la. He attended St. Louis University and 'was graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1958. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary'Special Session and the Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, from 1958-1960.

Since 1955, Walker has pastored i Oklahoma. Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. For five years of this time, he was director of Enon Baptist evangelistic crusade will begin Sunday Enon Baptist Church, south of Dawn, announces that it will conduct a Good News Missouri evangelistic crusade beginning this Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and continuing at 7:30 each week night. Pastor Richard Troxel said that he will sponsor a pizza party for everyone in the 7th through the 12th grades, oh Wednesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. "You don't have to be a member of Enon to come," said the pastor.

"We would like for this to be a community wide event." Pastor George Massingale, of Highland Baptist Church, Cody, i be the featured speaker. He will bring messages on God's love and how to receive it through Jesus Christ. Troxel said, "We are looking for a good crowd each night, and I feel that this will be a wonderful opportunity for the Christians in our community to renew their cvommitment Lord." Each service will feature congregational singing and some special music provided by Enon people. There is no a a i i however, at each service, a "free will love offering" will be taken for the speaker missions for Barton and Day County Baptist Association, with his office in Lockwood. He has served on the Illinois Baptist State Association ex- i board, and on numerous associational committees, and as an associational Sunday school and church training director in different Baptist associations.

He has also served as an evangelist in churches in Oklaho'ma. Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. He has made appearances on radio and television for special occasions. This revival is a part of the "Good i i i a a across Missouri. The public is invited tp attend the services nightly at 7:30 and on Sunday at a.m Everyone is invited to attend the pre-revival' music session, which will precede the evening service, at 7:15 p.m.

Penney store in Marshall, has been presented with the Presidents Cup Award for District 8362. The award is presented each year by the corporate office to the store which achieves the best sales, profit performance, and overall store operations. District 8362 consists of stores in southern Minnesota and all of South Dakota. Schwab trained with Penneys in the Chillicothe store and had promotions to St. Louis; Fort Dodge, and Milwaukee, Wis.

M. L. Albertson, Route 1, Kingston, is participating with the 1st Infantry' Division in Desert Warrior 80, a training exercise at Fort Irwin, Calif. The exercise is being conducted to determine how well a U.S. military unit can operate in an extremely intense electronic warfare environment.

It will provide U.S. forces an opportunity to conduct joint military tactical operations, using armored, mechanized infantry, infantry and tactical air forces in a semi-desert environment. Fort Irwin, located in the upper Mojave Desert, is scheduled to devleop into one of the Army's major training areas. A is a a i telephone operator at Fort Riley, Kan. Bradley Brown was recently selected as Co-op student for the month of March in the Chillicothe Distributive Education program.
