Grass Valley CA at age 72 He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Patti of Nevada City CA three grandsons Kim Robin and Jasper and son Steve and his wife Monl of Eagle CO In Memoriam MICHAEL PAUL DAVIS A resident of Riverdale passed away on Saturday August 1 1998 at the age of 20 He worked for the State of California as a Tomato Inspector He was a 1996 graduate of Riverdale High School He is survived by his parents Glenn and Donna Davis brother Adam Davis sister Terry Davis grandparents Gene and Grace Davis and Rosie Lee Ivey all of Riverdale He is also survived by many aunts uncles in Staple-ton NE to Marshall and Mabel Kelley The family came to California when Dale was ten years old Dale served in the US Army during WWI I and the Korean Conflict He opened his own business Kelley's Farm and Garden in Selma and ran that for several years before selling it to Albers Feed He began his second business Kelley's Distributing Corporation in 1975 Dale was preceded in death by his father Marshall in 1983 and his sister Dona in 1986 Dale is survived by his mother Mabel Kelley of Caruthers his beloved Katherine Cox his daughter Colleen Lowery both of Selma his sons Kevin of Fresno Allan of Brea CA and Scott of Fresno two stepdaughters Marcia of Fresno and Nancy of Santa Rosa 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson Visitation will be held at Page Funeral Chapel on Joe was bom in Preston MO on August 10 1919 He served in the US Navy during WWI I as did his brothers He served as Postmaster of Five Points CA from 1961-1963 With a love for farming end the San Joaquin Valley Joe served as Foreman and Superintendent for Park McAvoy Farms Price Giffen Enterprises and Matheson Farms He completed his career in agriculture as the Station Manager for Dairyland Seed Company in Slough-house where he served for 15 years Upon his retirement he moved to Clovis where he has lived for the past 15 years Joe was a steadfast community leader serving as Director of the Westside Boy Scout Troop and the Westside 4-H Club He later served as the Director of the Eastside-Westside 4-H Council for Fresno County He was an active member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Fresno and devoted much of his time to church protects including the Learning Tree Preschool Joe was a family man first and foremost He was a man of uncommon principle and integrity He loved his Lord and worshipped Him openly He was devoted to his loving wife of 57 years Eleanor children Larry and Carol Don and Sandi and Greg grandchildren Ryan Tara Brittany Matthew John Marissa and Aaron and Fred Ramirez aide to Greg and loyal friend to Joe and the entire family He is also survived by his brothers Paul of Visalia and Tom of Bakersfield a sister Linda Strauss of Merced and a sister-in-law Ruth and Amaro Pacheco she graduated from Hanford High School She married her beloved husband of 50 years John Costa Jr in 1938 he passed away in 1988 In 1942 with the John Costa Sr and Manuel Costa families they settled in the Kearney Park area of Fresno to begin the family dairy and farming business later known as the Costa Bros Dairy In 1974 with her sister Alzira Cardoza of Hanford she entered into a new business "Travels with Mary" escorting tours throughout the US along with cruises around the world until 1993 Her dedication to community service and her active role in numerous civic organizations earned her the respect of those who were fortunate to know her She was a member of the Fresno County Cabrillo Civic Club for over 50 years and provided exemplary leadership as a State and local officer and Chairperson of numerous events that raised funds for local State and National Charities A Charter member and officer of UPPEC Council Balboa-Kerman for over 50 years She was a Portuguese translator for the Fresno Courts 4-H Leader PTA President-Central Union High School member of Houghton Kearney School Mother's Club participated in establishing the St Patrick's Church of Kerman's building fund by hosting BBQ dinners at her residence She worked for 25 years at Sale Yard and was a bridge club member for 50 years Mary is survived by her loving family daughters Patricia Simonian of Fresno and Johnell Wilt of Kerman son Kenneth Costa of Sacramento sons-in-law Pete Simonian and Dennis Wilt her grandchildren Talbert Simonian and his wife Melanie of Fresno Janette Simonian of Visalia US Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Peter Simonian and his wife Toni of Bremerton WA Lisa Costa of Arcadia and Shawna Lambe of Kerman great-grandchildren Mathew Simonian and years He and his late wife Lula became Farmers in the FresnoRaisin City area shortly after their marriage in 1938 They had been married 58 years at the time of her death on December 1 1996 He was a member of the Easton Lion's Club Raisin City Co-Op Cotton Gin member of Raisin City Water District Board of Directors and the Orange Center School Board of Trustees Walter was known as a nun of his
