Obituaries Navy Lt. (j.g.) Douglas D. Vaughan Memorial services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Edgebrook Lutheran Church, 5252 W. Devon .Ave., Chicago, for Navy Lt. (j.g.) Douglas Dean Vaughan, 25, who died Tuesday in the Third Army Hospital, Saigon, South Vietnam, of wounds he received on .April 22. The Rev. Roger Hansen w^ill officiate. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie W. Vaughan of 1215 N. Waterman Ave., Arlington Heights; a brother, Leslie W. Jr. of St. Charles; a sister, Garnet at home; and a grandmother, Mrs. A. 0. Wall Mrs. Rita L. Wall, 47, nee Gorman, died Wednesday in St. Alexius Hospital, Elk Grove Village, after an extended illness. Visitation is today after 4 p.m. in Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel to St. James Catholic Church, 841 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, for 11:30 a.m. mass. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. She was bom Jan. 3, 1922, in Joliet, and had lived at 936 N. Ridge Ave. in Arlington Heights, for the last 14 years. She was a past president of Miner Junior High School PTA, a member of the St. James Women’s Auxiliary, the Arlington Heights Junior Women’s Club, and the Women’s Auxiliary B.P.O.E., Arlington Heights Elk Club, No. 2048.. Surviving are her husband, Norman T. Sr.; a daughter, Margaret L.; a son, Norman T. Jr.; six sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Taylor of New Lenox, Dl., Mrs. Mildred Stevens of Chicago, Mrs. Valeria Gobrecht, Mrs. Virginia Lentini, Mae Gorman and Ardath Gorman all of Joliet; and two brothers, John R. (Jorman also of Joliet and La Verne Farley of Pittsburgh, Pa. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to masses.
