I Two letters take $32,500 in postage LONDON (UPI)-Two airmail letters to the Bahamas cost $32,500 Friday. A spokesman for Donaldson International Airways said a businessman chartered a Boeing 707 jet from the firm to deliver the urgent letters. He was born in Irvine, Feb. 18, 1890, a son of Jerome and Mildred Calimese. He married Louise Davis in Normal in August of 1920. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Isaac, Export, a sister, Mrs.

Lola Miller, Richmond, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Peoria, the Redd-Williams American Legion Post of Bloomington and was a veteran of World War I. Mrs. Elizabeth Mott The funeral for Mrs.

Elizabeth Mott, 86, formerly of 132 Holton Homes, who died Saturday, will be at 10:30 a.m, Tuesday at Beck Memorial Home. The Rev. Robert Howard will officiate and burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 o'clock tonight. She was born June 1, 1885, in Kentucky, a daughter of Isaac and Mary Burger.

She married Clarence A. Mott Jan. 16, 1947, in Bloomington. He died March 3, 1955. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.

Bertha Kennedy, 104 E. Wood, and Mrs. Howard Potter, 914 W. Locust: two sisters, Hattie Craig and Mrs. Ella Ranoe, both of Peoria: two brothers, Lloyd Burger, McLean, and Isaac Burger, Bloomington; seven grandchildren, and ma' great-grandchildren.

AUTOMOTIVE Gile Huffman, 73, of 220 Fairway Drive, died at Brokaw Hospital at 5:15 p.m. Sunday after an illness of several months. He was in the hospital for three weeks. His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Metzler Memorial Home with the Rev.

Clarence C. Young officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial home.

He as born at Lawndale Jan. 28, 1899, a son of Sylvester G. and Clara Graham Huffman. He married Verna Crusius Sept. 18, 1923, in Bloomington.

Surviving are his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Vashti Holtke, Peoria; Mrs. Minnie Frye, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Clara Allen, Ottawa; three brothers, Luther, 7 Foley Raymond, Tucson, and Harold, Dixon; several nieces and nephews. A sister preceded him in death.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Normal, Masonic Lodge No. 43; Bloomington Consistory, and Aahme Shrine of Oakland, and the Black Camel Club He attended Lawndale public schools, Brown Business College and graduated in 1941 from the LaSalle Extension University Law School. He was employed at State Farm Insurance Co. for 37 years. He served as superintendent of Branch Agency Record in the Western office in Berkeley, for 32 years, retiring in 1963.

He then returned to Bloomington. She was brought to Stiver Home for Funerals. Mrs. Lenington CHENOA (PNS) Mrs. Fannie Lenington, 90, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Bloomington She was brought to Pils Memorial Home.

Ralph Kiley WAPELLA Ralph Kiley, 40, died Sunday in Kansas City, Mo. He will be brought to Pullen-Boos Funeral Chapel, Clinton. Miss Eva Malnar RUTLAND (PNS) Miss Eva Malnar, 65, a retired telephone operator, died at 1:35 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. Robert Gilles officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Toluca.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thierry Funeral Home, Wenona. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday. She was born at Rutland June 24, 1906, a daughter of Joseph and Caroline Jackovich Malnar.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ann MacDougall, Springfield, and Mrs. Elizabeth Fornero, Rutland, and two brothers, Joseph, Wenona, and Frank, Naches, Wash. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Miss Malnar was a telephone operator for over 40 years in Rutland until the office closed in 1965 and she retired. Mrs. Leatha Crist PAXTON (PNS) Mrs. Leatha Crist, 82, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday at her home.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, the Rev. Eugene Darling officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be this afternoon and evening.

She was born Nov. 15, 1889, at Paulina, Iowa, a daughter of Emerson and Susanna Lee Orr. She married William G. Crist June 25, 1922, at Gilman. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs.

Robert Weagant, Urbana; two grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Orr, Sebring, and Clifford Orr, Piper City. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. She and her husband moved to Paxton in 1962. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and its WSCS. Mrs.

Crist was a past matron of Order of Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Neighborhood Birthday Club. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Kenneth Grimm WENONA (PNS) Kenneth S. Grimm, 67, owner-operator of a heating and plumbing business, died at 1 p.m.

Sunday at his home. He had been dismissed as a heart attack patient Saturday from St. Mary's Hospital, Streator. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, the Rev.

Paul Bengtson officiating. Burial will be in Rutland Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thierry Funeral Home. He was born March 25, 1905, at Wenona, a son of James and Amelia Reinmann Grimm.

He married Cecile Nelson at Wenona Dec. 2, 1948. Surviving are his wife and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel McAdam, Verango, Mrs. Wahneta Kuehn and Mrs.

Helen Crone, both of Wenona. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Lutheran Church and American Legion. Mr. Grimm was a member of Wenona Fire Department for 47 years and was chief for 15 years before it became part of the fire protection district, of which he was a trustee. He was a member of the Rotary Club board of directors.

Mrs. Mary Reeder LE ROY (PNS) Mrs. Mary Reeder, 74, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington.

She was brought to Bruce Memorial Home. Mrs. Rowden METAMORA (PNS)- Mrs. Margaret A. Rowden, 30, died at 6:15 p.m.

Sunday at Eureka Hospital, where she was taken Sunday morning. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Raphael Clouse officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mason Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

She was born near Metamora Sept. 21, 1941, a daughter of Theodore and Rose Garber Dubois. She married Carl Rowden April 12, 1969, at Metamora. Surviving are her husband; a son, Jeffrey, a daughter, Malissa, both at home; her father, Metamora: four brothers, Raymond, Lawrence, Marvin and Richard Dubois, all of Metamora; and a sister, Mrs. Leonard Streitmatter, Metamora.

Her mother preceded her in death. Mrs. Gerzetich PEKIN (PNS) Mrs. Freda W. Gerzetich, 73, of Sarasota, fornerly of Pekin, died at: 3:40 p.m.

Friday in Sarasota. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Noel Henderson funeral Home. the Rev. Galen Russell officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 o'clock tonight. She was born March 4, 1898, at Pekin, a daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Voth Wagner. She married Michael A. Gerzetich Nov.

20, 1920, at Lincoln. Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert Jackson, a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Williams, Pekin; a brother, George Wagner, Emden; and three granddaughters. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sarasota, and Order of Eastern Star. Mrs.

Anna Holtzman WASHINGTON (PNS) Mrs. Anna E. Holtzman, 79, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center, where she had lived three months. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. Francis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Glen Dale Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m.

Tuesday at White Funeral Home and an hour before the funeral at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. She was born Jan. 18, 1893, at Metamora, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Heinrich Marchand. She married J.

Henry Holtzman in Washington Feb. 18, 1911. He died July 8, 1968. Surviving Michael, are two daughters, and Mrs. Emily Washington; Betty Smith, Oelwein, Iowa; two sons, Donald, Peoria Heights; and Robert, Peoria; a brother, Lawrence Marchand, Peoria; six sisters Mrs.

Julia Norman and Mrs. Deloris Wagler, both of Peoria; Mrs. Mary Scheirer, Metamora; Mrs. Catherine Arnold, Libertyville; Mrs. Rose Meismer, Carthage, and Mrs.

Clara Moran, Morris; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers. She was a member of St. Mark's Church and its Philathea Sunday School Class. Harry Cloat FAIRBURY (PNS) Harry A.

Cloat, 77, of Kankakee, formerly of Fairbury, died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Yates-Orrison Funeral Home, Kankakee.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 2 to 9 o'clock tonight. He was born Jan. 30, 1895, at Fairbury, a son of Herman and Cora Talbert Cloat. He married Mrs.

Mary Burdette. His only survivor is his wife. Mr. Cloat was a retired school teacher, having taught many years in Livingston County. He lived in Kankakee 50 years.

Eldon Maxwell PEKIN (PNS) The funeral for Eldon B. Maxwell, 48, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Pekin, who died Thursday, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Preston Funeral Home. The Rev. William Pruett will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 o'clock tonight. Masonic rites will be at 8:30 tonight. Dr. Roy Thompson CLINTON The obituary of Dr. Roy A.

Thompson ,86, can be 1 found elsewhere in today's Pantagraph. W. L. Barnes DANVERS (PNS) William Leslie "Let" Barnes, 92, a retired restaurant owner, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at Maple Lawn Home, Eureka.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m, today at Otto-Argo Funeral Home, the Rev. Ike Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was born in Bloomington April 19, 1879, a son of Jesse and Elizabeth Dunlap Barnes.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mae Gray, Normal. He was preceded in death by a brother. He was a World War I veteran. Ralph Nafziger DELAVAN (PNS) The funeral for C.

Ralph Nafziger, 70, a retired farmer, who died Saturday will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hopedale Mennonite Church. The Rev. Ivan Kauffmann will officiate and burial will be in Mennonite Cemetery, Hopedale. Visitation will be 6 to 9 o'clock tonight at Davis Mortuary, Hopedale, and a hour before the funeral at the church.

He was born Feb. 25, 1902, near Hopedale a son of Andrew and Katherine Roth Nafziger. He married Katherine Eichelberger Aug. 3, 1924, at Hopedale. She died in 1964.

He then married Mary Beatty Brown Jan. 10, 1968, at Delavan. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Springer, Newark; Mrs. Marjorie Gunden, Naples and Mrs.

Darlene Owens, Ada, a son, Lynn, Goshen, a stepson, William Brown, Delavan; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Clara Martin, and two brothers, Arthur and Eldon, both of Hopedale. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He farmed all his life, retiring in 1964, For 19 years Mr. Nafziger was a member of the Hopedale Board of Education.

He was a former trustee of the Mennonite Church, was a member of Delavan Rotary Club and a director of Delavan Mutual Insurance Co. Memorials may be made to his church. Herbert Wilkey EL PASO (PNS) Herbert J. Wilkey, 63, a long time resident of El Paso, died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday at Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington, where he had been a patient for one day.

His funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Froelich Memorial Home, the Rev. Michael Kovalcik officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Monday at the memorial home. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Monday by El Paso Lodge 246, A.F.&A.M. He was born July 26, 1908, at Benson, a son of Albert L. and Flora Wadsworth Wilkey.

He married Garnet Guard Dec. 15, 1927 at Minonk. Surviving are his wife; his mother; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Cox; Mrs. Dale Fever, Mrs.

John Dust, Mrs. Henry Hayse, all of El Paso; Mrs. Jack Moody, Wiley, a son, Gene, El Paso; three brothers, Virgil, Clarence and Raymond, all of El Paso; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Lewis, El Paso; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His father, a sister and a grandson preceded him in death.

He was a farmer and had been a trucker for the past 20 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of El Paso, the El Paso Masonic Lodge, the Bloomington Consistory and Mohammed Shrine in Peoria. Soviets launch Venus 8 toward July rendezvous MOSCOW (UPI)-The Soviet Union today launched Venus 8 and said the unmanned sputnik will attempt to softland scientific equipment on Venus in July. Tass, the official news agency, said the sputnik carried a soft-lander designed to carry out exploration on the Venusian surface. The Soviet Union's Venus 7 probe successfully soft-landed an instrument package on Venus in December, 1978, which sent the first signals to earth from another plant.
