Friday at Brokaw Hospital after a week's illness. Her funeral will be Tuesday In Pittsburgh, Pa. The Carmody Funeral Home Is handling local arrangements. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. She was born In Pittsburgh, Aug.

19, 1914, a daughter of John and Clementine Ciesinskl. She was married to Rudolph A. Bizyak in 1941 In Pittsburgh. Surviving are her husband; a son, Rudolph on the island of Okinawa; a daughter, Mrs. Antoinette Breriter, Anadale, two brothers, Henry and Stanley; four sisters, Mrs.

Jennie Kuc-zynskl, Mrs. Victoria KHnek, Mrs. Irene Manski and Mrs. Delores Chuderwicz; four grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge.

John H. Becker John H. Becker, 80. of Shamel Manor died at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Brokaw Hospital.

He was admitted Dec. 16. Mr. Becker worked for and later managed the old Keiser-Van Leer Company. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.

Monday at the Beck Memorial Home, with the Rev. Raye Ragan officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Becker was born June 22, 1892, In Bloomington, a son of John C. and Be- blama Uhlre Becker. He married Edith Ralph Demling McLEAN Ralph Demling, 71, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday at St.

Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington. He was brought to the McReynolds Funeral Home. Mrs. Carrie Tendick MOUNT PULASKI Mrs. Carrie Tendick, 84, died at 6 p.m.

Thursday at Christian Nursing Home at Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Schahl Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray O. Zumstein officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was born May 16, 1888, Jn Mount Pulaski, a daughter of Gerhart and Mary Kusterer Rentmeiser. She was married to Uriach Tendick in Mount Pulaski, April 18, 1906.

He died in 1965. Surviving are two sons, Cecil, Jacksonville; Carl, Rochester, four grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded her In death. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Mrs. Judith Fincham PEKIN (PNS) The funeral of Mrs. Judith Fincham, 33, who was killed Wednesday, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Le Roy Schmidt Memorial Chapel in East Peoria. The Rev.

Bruce Dunn will officiate and burial will be in Fon-dulac Cemetery, She was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Peoria, a daughter of John and Esther Tanner Frederick. -She married Emory L. Fincham June 19, 1957, at Pekin. Surviving are her husband; her father, Creve Coeur; her mother, Morton; three sons, Emory Scott, and Eric, a daughter, Tammy, all at home; a sister, Mrs.

Harriett Spaw, Mount Zion; a brother Edwin Frederick, East Peoria; a grandmother, Mrs. Lydia Tanner, Mor-' ton. She had been employed as a cashier. Mrs. Anna Mangold ROANOKE Mrs.

Anna Marie Mangold, 79, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday at Methodist Hospital, Peoria, where she had been a patient since Dec. 26. Funeral services will be Sunday at 12:30 at the Remmert Funeral Home in Roanoke and at 1 p.m. at the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church.

Visitation will be after 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was born Dec. 12, 1893, in Roanoke, a daughter of Charles and Lena Gerber Martin.

She as married to the Rev. David Mangold Jan. 15, 1917, in Roanoke. Be died Dec. 4, Survivors Include two sons, Melvin of Roanoke, Charles of Eureka; two daughters, Ruth Scherer and Mrs.

Esther Sauder, both of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Emma Scherer, Roanoke; 14 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. One sister and six brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Mrs. Pearl Halane LEXINGTON (PNS) Mrs.

Pearl G. Halane, 77, died at a Streator hospital Friday morning. She was brought to the Mussclman Funeral Home where a tenative funeral has been set for Monday. Arthur Kelley MASON CITY Arthur Kelley, 66, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday at his home, the Mason City Hotel.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the burial in Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Nov.

18, 1906, at Lincoln, a son of Adam and Bertha Teichman Kelley. 'Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Martin, New Holland and Mrs. Lucille Bridges, Lincoln. He was a retired carpenter and painter, a veteran of World War a member of the New Holland American Legion Post and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mrs. Mary Hill PEKIN (PNS) Mrs. Mary "Una" M. Hill, 84, of 1312 Hamilton died at 7:45 a.m. Friday at Pekin Memorial Hospital.

She had been a patient one day. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Wilson Baker officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery at Manito.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Limback Funeral Home, Manito, and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church. She was born Aug. 6, 1888, in Kansas, a daughter of Alfred and Mary Sheets Long.

She was married to John T. Hill. He died in 1945. Surviving are a son, John Pekin; two daughters, Mrs. Mazie Moore, Manito; Mrs.

Vera Mayhew, Havana; a sister, Mrs. George Richardson, Malaga, three grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren. A daughter and two brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. James B.

Larkin DOWNS- James B. Larkin, 74, a retired machinist for Eureka Williams died at 1:10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a short ilhiess. His funeral will be' at 8:30 a.m.

Monday at the Carmody Funeral Home, Bloomington, and at 9 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. The Rev. Robert Hoffman will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Merna. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m.

Sunday at the funeral home. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Mr. Larkin was born Nov. 13, 1898, at Merna, a son of Michael and Margaret Kinsella Larkin.

He never married. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Julia Stokes, 101 E. MacArthur, Bloomington; Mrs. Anna McKeon, 104 E.

Wood, Bloomington; Mrs. Martha Killian and L. D. Mehrkens FAIRBURY. (PNS) The funeral of L.

D. "Chub" Mehrkins, 50, who was found dead in a field near Saybrook Thursday, will be at 10 a.m. Monday 8t St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev.

Richard Kolczaski will officiate burial in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Stiver Home for Funerals. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Military rites will be conducted at graveside by the John Joda American Legion Post. Mr. Mehrkens had been under the care of a physician for two years and was at work at the time of his death. An inquiry will be conducted. He was was bom Sept.

22, 1922, at Colfax, a son of John and Mabyl Fitzpatrick Mehrkens. He married Nora Thompson in Strawn Jan. 11, 1947. They farmed south of Fairbury until 1960. He was employed by Limestone Transit, Inc.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Fairbury; a son, Dan, Park City South, Bloomington; a brother John, Cobham, two grandchildren. His father and a daughter preceded him in death. He had served on the Livingston County Selective Service Board since 1955 and had been its chairman since 1964. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre.

He was a member of the John Joda American Legion Post, serving four terms as commander. He had also served two terms as commander of the Livingston County Legion Council. He was a member of the Brotherton-Keller Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Gibson City and was a past president of the Fairbury-Cropsey Oscar Van Boening PEKIN (PNS) Oscar Van Boening, 95, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Pekin, died at 11 a.m. Friday at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital at St.

Petersburg. He will be brought to the Noel-Henderson Funeral Home. Henry Koester NEW HOLLAND (PNS) Henry Koester, 63, of Nokomis, formerly of New Holland, died Monday at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, according to word received here. His funeral and burial were Thursday at Nakomis.

Survivors Include his wife, the former Eileen Wendell; his mother, Mrs. Anna Koester, New Holland; three brothers, Bcrnell, David City, Elmer, Lincoln; Peter, New Holland; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Harris, Olney. James A. Robbins MINONK (PNS) The funeral for James A.

Robbins, 64, who died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital at Hines, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Folkers Memorial Home with the Rev. Harry Sanders Burial will be in Minonk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sunday at the funeral home. He was born April 17, 1908, at Canton, son of George and Almeda Phipps Robbins. He married Imogene McCullough at Birmingham, Nov. 10, 1945. They have since lived at Minonk.

Survivors include his wife and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Clayton, Amboy. He was a veteran of World War II. Lester R. Anderson GIBSON CITY (PNS) The funeral of Lester R.

Anderson, 69, who was found dead at his farm Thursday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lamb Funeral Home, the Rev. John Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Gibson City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Martin Mooney, Foosland. A sister preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of the Foosland-Gibson City area and had recently retired from farming. Jewell Bockwitz MASON CITY (PNS) Jewell Bockwitz, 80, died at 11:20 a.m. Friday at Omaha, Neb.

He was a Mason City native. His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cain Funeral Home, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery at San Jose. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He was born April 2, 1892, at Mason a son of, Charles and Matilda Wiemer Bockwitz. He never married. Surviving are a brother, Carroll, El Paso, a sister, Miss Verna Bockwitz, Peoria. A sister preceded him in death. He was president of the Nebraska Bridge Association for many years and was also past president of the Omaha Camera Club.

She was taken to the Beck Memorial Home. Her funeral and burial will be Sunday. The Hamilton Funeral Home In Clayton will be In charge. Edward F. Timler The funeral of Edward F.

Timler, 75, of the Illinois House, who died Thursday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Beck Memorial Home, with pastor Ernest Gerike officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will start at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Timler was a self-employed upholsterer. He was born Jan. 29, 1896, in Bloomington, a son of Richard and Annie Riddel Timler. He married Helen Cox in 1925.

She died in November, 1955. A sister, Anna Timler, 1320 N. Allin, survives. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Carl Martin Post of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

Miss Ethel Mulgrew Miss Ethel Mulgrew of Los Angeles, a native of Bloomington, died Friday morning, according to word received by relatives. Her funeral and burial will be In Los Angeles, where she moved about five years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Peter Mulgrew and left Bloomington about 25 years ago when she went to Springfield to work for the state. For several years she worked in the old Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad office in Bloomington.

She attended St. Patricks school and church and Brown's Business College. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John J. Radka, 1211 W.

Olive; Mrs. Margaret Shaffer, Pasadena, and Mrs. Catherine Fitzgerald, Los Angeles. A sister preceded her In death. Fred C.

Phillips The funeral of Fred C. Phillips, 83, of 905 Franklin, Normal, who died Wednesday, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Main Memorial Home, with the Rev. Ernest L. Gerike officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He had been a meat cutter for 45 years when he retired 15 years ago. He worked for the Charles Utesch meat market and later for Henry Nierstheimer and the Eisner Food Stores.

Mr. Phillips was born May 27, 1889, in Wellington, a son of Wlltielm and Fredricka Stahl Phillips. He married Anna WatchinskI Aug. 19, 1913, in Bloomington. Surviving are his wife; a son, Wilbur, 1106 Morgan, Normal, and one grandson.

A sister and three brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Mary Hartson Mrs. Mary Hartson, 61, of 506 N.

Oak, a clerk at Snyder's Market, 1502 E. Jackson, died at 2:26 a.m. Friday at Mennonite Hospital of an apparent heart attack. She had been taken to the hospital by the rescue squad at 2:10 a.m. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.

Monday at East Lawn Memorial with the Rev. David Goss officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hartson was born Oct. 31, 1910, in Greensulphur Springs, W. 8 daughter of Lloyd and Zelda lusher Shaffer. Her mother died Tuesday.

Mrs. Shaffer's funeral was Friday afternoon at East Lawn Chapel. Mrs. Hartson was married to David Hartson July 5, 1924, in Bloomington. He survives.

Also surviving are her father, Margaret's Manor; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Loereher, R.R. two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Kropla, Chicago, and May Zauner, Willow Springs, and two grandchildren. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bloomington.

Forrest B. Abbott Forrest B. Abbott, 64, of Inglewood, formerly of Bloomington-Normal and a native of Shirley, died Thursday in Inglewood. Mr. Abbott was a mechanic.

He had lived in California for 22 years. Funeral and burial will be in Inglewood. He was born Aug. 13, 1908, In Shirley, a son of Marion and Jannette Bromer Abbott. He attended Normal public schools and Normal Community High School.

He served in the Army under Gen. Jonathan Wainwright In the Philippine Islands. Mr. Abbott became interested in the island customs, products, natives and landmarks while he was in the service. During a leave in 1929 he told the Pantagraph of some of the customs of a then vanishing tribe, the Igorots, or head hunters.

He described mummy caves, the products made and traded by the Islanders and market day in the oriental city of Baguio. Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife, Vida: four sisters. Miss Mildred Abbott, 103 E. MacArthur; Mrs.

Bernadine Palmer, 807 E. Monroe; Mrs. Thelma Johnson. Chatsworth. and Mrs.

Market, with the old Gulf, Mobile Ohio Railroad 46 years when he retired In 1966, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been a patient two weeks. Mr.

O'Brokta checked cars in the storeroom for 37 years and was station baggageman for the last nine years when he was with the His funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Mon- -day at the Main Memorial Home, and at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be In St.

O'Brokta was born Aug. 14, 1905, in Bloomington, a son of Charles and Margaret Baila O'Brokta. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Rose Brown, 1301 W. Market; Mrs.

Alice Mintus, 1316 W. Market, and Mrs. Helen Tottcrer, 1406 N. Western. Two brothers and a sister preceded him In denth.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. He was an avid fisherman. Particularly dear to his heart was a cabin on the Fox River near Princeton, Wis. He also injoyed working with flowers, and at his retirement said he planned to "keep a constantly blooming flower garden" during the year.

Mrs. Edna Rost GIBSON CITY Mrs. Edna V. Rost, 70, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday at Gibson Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Gibson Bible Church, With the Rev. James Walsh and the Rev. J. A.

Heiser officiating. Burial will be in Gibson City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Lamb Funeral Home. She was born Dec.

25, 1902, in Finley, a daughter of John and Stella Covert Birky. She was married to John L. Rost March 8, 1922, at Postago, Wis. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Amato, Nampa, Idaho; two sons, Robert, Hammond; Donald.

Chicago; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Ropp, Gibson City; Mrs. Mary Zobrist, Morton; five brothers, Forrest, John, and Clarence, all in California; Gilbert, Janesville, Homer, Mansfield, Ohio. Her parents, a son, and a sister preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Gibson City for more than 20 years.

She was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church. Homicide-suicide ruled in deaths A McLean County coroner's jury Friday returned a homicide-suicide finding following an inquest into the deaths of a Bloomington woman and her 3-year-old daughter. The verdicts were, returned following a joint inquest into the df ath of Mrs. June Myers, 37, of 9 Wach Drive, and her daughter, Jaymc, who were found dead in a room at the Regal 8 Motel on Dec. 15.

The verdict said that the daughter's wrists were slashed and the mother had hanged herself. The mother had been depressed, the jury said. Her husband, James, testified that he had filed suit for divorce in November. He said she had threatened to take her own life and the child's two or three times.
