LIDBURY William E. Lidbury. 89, of Capron, died Sunday at Clinton Meadows Park Nursing Home, Clinton, Wis. He was born in Bristol, England, on March 27, 1887 son of Harry and Jane Edwards Lidbury, and married the former Rose Todd on Dec. 25, 1912 in Blaine.

She died in 1964. Mr. Lidbury came to the United States from England in 1909. He lived two years in Chicago and two years in Belvidere before settling in the Blaine area where he was engaged in farming for the remainder of his life. He served as road commissioner of LeRoy township for 12 years.

Surviving are three sons, Harry of Sharon, Frederick William of Capron, and Vernon of Belvidere; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Anderson of Capron; brother, Jack Lidbury of Palmyra, eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Blaine United Methodist Church with the Rev. David L.

Innis Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Blaine Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Salisbury-Schilke Funeral Home, Charon. MANUEL MARTY MARTINEZ Manuel Marty Martinez, SO, of 236 Highline Drive, died at 5:50 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Hospital following a brief illness. He was born June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, son of Manuel and Josephine Abeyta Martinez.

He was educated in the Los Angeles public schools. Mr. Martinez was a utility employe of the Chrysler Corporation for the past 25 years. He came to Belvidere eight years ago. He was a member of U.A.W.

Local No. 1268, and served in Korea with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his mother, Josephine Martinez, and a brother, Phillip Martinez, both of Los Angeles, and a sister, Rose Eschagary, of Rosemead, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert.

Funeral services will be at the Pierce Brother Mortuary in Los Angeles with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, San Gabriel, Calif. Statt Belvidere VERNON D. COOPER Vernon O. Cooper, 64, of 952 W. Perry died at 4:15 p.m. Monday at Highland Hospital following a short illness.

He was born in Alberta, Canada, on March 31, 1912 son of the late Barney and Frieda Faulk Cooper, and married the former Vesta Osier on June 25, 1937, in Belvidere. Mr. Cooper was employed as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter's Union No. 792 of Rockford for 30 years. He served with the U.S.

Army from 1929 to 1934 and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Vesta, four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Norton, Rockford, Mrs. Kathleen Swafford, Somonauk, Mrs. Jeanette Elrick, Sabastopol, Calif, and Synthia Cooper, Huntington Beach, three sons.

Lore 11, of Simi, and Byron and Michael, both Belvidere; 13 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home with the Rev.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for the American Cancer Society. CLAUDE V. HUFF Claude V. Huff, 62, of 10475 Beloit Road, died at 3:45 p.m. Monday at Swedish American Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 18, 1914 in Leaf River, son of the late Lloyd M. and Myrtie Kuntzelmam Huff. He was educated in the public schools of Leaf River and married the former Alice Pettenger on Nov. 10, 1937 in Polo.

A 39-year resident of Boone county, Mr. Huff was employed as a heat-treat operator for Cam car Division of Textron, Inc. of Belvidere. He was a member of John Hugo Kaiser V.F.W. Post No.

1461 and Lodge No. 90 Modern Woodsman of America. Survivors include his wife, Alice, a son, Gerald Huff, of Belvidere, a daughter, Karen Compton, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Witbeck Wheeler Sabien Funeral Home with the Rev.
