I here will b' 1 an additional storage space fr-r Government sealed corn in K'".-,u'h county of 520.000 bushels, it was announced yesterday by Vireil Rohlf. manager of the county ASC office. A total of 160 new. round bins are be-in t; or have been erected at Swea City. Ledyard. Titonka and LuVerne. It is hoped that Kossuth will also K f M H new 1955 allotment of bins. The 160 bins just erectcr; were included in the 1954 allotment. Present co/ernment storage facilities will handle a total of 8.643.272 bushels and at present there are 5,454,609 bushels in storau'j. with 3.188.664 bushels of space available, plus the 520.000 bushels from the newly erected bins. Farmers are encouraged, however, to take advantage of loans available up to SOTr of total cost to build their own bins for sealed commodities. Rohlf said. On such construction there is 5 years to repay at 4 percent interest, and at the rate of 15 cents a bushel for repealing 1953 and 1954 corn, the storage rebate will about pay for the bins and the farmer then owns the bins completely.
