A total of 160 new, round bins are being or have been erected at Swea City, Ledyard, Titonka and LuVerne. "It is hoped that Kossuth wil also get a new 1955 allotment p bins. The 160 bins just erected were included in the 1954 allot ment. Present government storage facilities will handle a total o" 8,643,272 bushels and at presen there are 5,454,609 bushels in storage, with 3,188,664 bushels o space available, plus the 520,001 bushels from the newly erectei bins. Farmers are encouraged, hovy- ever, to take advantage of loans available up to 80% of total cofet to build their own bins for sealed commodities, Rohlf said. On such construction there is 5 ye£rs to repay at 4 percent interest, and at the 'rate of 15 cents a bushel for resealing 1953 and 1954 corn, the storage rebate will about pay for the bins and the farmei^then owns the bins completely. , _ ' i To Semi-Finals In C. Ex-Whittemore Resident Buried Funeral services for Harvey J. Elbert, 50, a resident of Kossuth county until a few years ago, were held Friday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Mason City. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery, Whittemore. " The body of Mr Elbc-rt was found Monday of la.sl week at the home of his sister, Mario Schulty., with whom lie had made his home since the death of his wife five years ago. Mr Elbert was born May 24, 1905, and had lived and fanned north of Whittemore until five years ago. He was a graduate ot Presentation Academy. He was married May 5, 1934, to Edn Mrs Kellner, 70, Rites, Livermore Livermore — Funeral services or Mrs Katherine Kellner, 70, were held at Sacred Heart church, Monday morning. Mrs Kellner passed away Thursday of lasi week following a lingering illness, at St. Ann hospital in Algona. Burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery in St. Joe, with Hamilton p uneral Home in charge of ar- •angements. Father P. M. Sturm officiated. Surviving arc her husband, Matt, and two daughters and two sons: Mrs Joe Berte (Isabel), and Mrs Lawrence Thilges (Lorettai, both of St. Joe, and Carnold and -yril of Livermore.
