Christian women slate speaker from France Mrs. Robert Evans, founder of Christian Women's Clubs in Paris, France, and Rome, Italy, will be guest speaker for the Bloomington-Normal Christian Women's Club luncheon Tuesday at Illinois Wesleyan Memorial Center, beginning at 12:45 p.m. Mrs. Evans and her husband are on furlough from Paris, where they have lived for 23 years. He is director of the Greater European Mission.

A graduate of Wheaton College, Mrs. Evans has taught in Illinois and in Paris, where she was dean of women at the European Bible Institute. The Evanses have one married daughter. Mrs. Harvey Pike will present a hatmaking demonstration, "How To Make Your Fall Beret." Soloist will be tenor Ronald Ropp, chaplain at Mennonite Hospital.

Mrs. Jack Guillard will play pre-luncheon music. Mrs. Evans will also be speaker at the 6:30 p.m. dinner of Christian Business and Professional Women's Council Tuesday at the Memorial Center.

Both meetings are open to women in the community. A fall fashion show, presented by Darlene's of Hudson, will be featured at the dinner meeting. Mrs. Bernard Gummerman will narrate. Piano music will be provided by Dirk Ficca, a freshman at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Mrs. Williams was bulletin chairman for Redbird Chapter last year and won a blue ribbon on its bulletin at the district convention in Rapid City, South Dakota, in May. She will be entering 1 the bulletins in the national competition. Highlights of the convention are the presentation of the 'top 10 women of the year and an American Business Woman of the Year. Selection is made from woman of the year award recipients from the local chapters.

Traveling with the BloomingtonNormal group will be Mrs. Helen Long of Decatur Charter Chapter, who is North Central District vice president and who will be a candidate for national first vice president at the convention.
