conducted by the Joint Committee on the Siting of Teaching Hospitals of which Duffy is a member He said he has been assured by committee chairman Assemblyman Willie Brown D-San Francisco the study could be completed by January The resolution states California ranks 48th among all states in un dergraduate medical school openings in relation to total Duffy said the aim of his study is to set up a priority for new medical schools in California with Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley hopefully being number one He said determination also must be made on who would run the hospital -the University today introduced a resolution for a study of the possibility of opening a medical school in Fresno sponsored by the federal and state governments Duffy said the study if approved by the legislature
