Plus a patch of talented newcomers up from the junior varsity, a load that includes sprinter Luther Brown, fullback David Hector. 190-pound brother of the coach, 205-pound center Charlie McBride and 225- pound tackle Verdeen Herbel.

Alaska, and their sidekicks, the 13-year-old California state champs, were guests of honor of the Novato Chamber of Commerce luncheon at Restaurant. Certificates and trophies were presented to the boys and, afterwards, the boys were invited to bowl free at Nave Lanes. Last night the youngsters were taken to the Giants-Chicago Cubs game at Candlestick Park. Tickets were donated by the Giants and transportation provided by Hamilton Air Force Base. Jim is his first name and running is his game. such a fine runner that Marin Catholic coach Joel Kiffj is changing his formation from a Wing to an I in order to make more use of running abiiity. This 185-pound lad will be going from the tailback spot.
