2. of Reveal Coast Guard District Accomplishments Last Year For the Eleventh -Coast Guard District, 1960 was year crowded with activity aimed at carrying out its traditional function of maintaining safety and order on the high seas and navigable waters of the United States, Capt. In looking back on service accomplishments for the past year, Capt. Linholm pointed out that district facilities had responded to 1978 calls for assistance, had rescued 79 persons from peril, assisted others and had furnished medical aid to 100 additional per- sons.
