Citizens' Ticket. WILLIAM J. DINGEE 460 and 462 Eighth Street. Oakland. Doabt Brlgkteaiac Iat Hope, And hope lato cartatnty, Is the pleasing transition throngh which: the mind of tae nervous, dyspeptic invalla passes who tries a course of Hoatetter's Stomach Bitters, which is alike incomparable and inimit able.

Increased vitality, a gain in weight, tranquillity of the nerves, sound appetite and sleep are among the blessings which it Is within the beneficent power of this medicine to confer, and it is not surprising that after acquiring this new dowry of health the grateful sick should sometimes utter their praises of the Bitters in terms borderiug on extravagance. "Ont of the folbeas of the heart the month speaketh," and the proprietors of Ho tetter's stomach Bitters have sometimes i been obliged to suppress these eulogiums least they should be accused of blowing their own trumpet too loudly. For const! pation, biliousness, kidney complaint and incipient rheumatism the Bitters is also a deservedly popular remedy. Onr Inauguration Bawl We announce the Ubsat Waltz of the season. Mr. hnirninn Your Cntamittee upon Platform Resolutions ben leave to prcent the follow ing report and ask that It be adopted as the plattorm of the Keptii.h-ca:i party iu the coming municipal tlec-tion Believing that the platform ol the National Convention, assembled in Juue lm-t In the city of Chicago voiced the sentiments of the preat majority of the American people as expressed at the ballot box upon the Mb of November, 1N. we do Hereby reaffirm that platform ami plediie otirnelveg to uphold its broad principles and true statesman like doctrines. We (five our uii'iualified indorsement to the unticnal policy of the great Republican party, both at home and abioad, as set forth in the public utterances and otticial docuraeutfi of a long line of Republican presidents and statesmen whose administrations the nation has prospered at a ratio nneiitiaicd by any other people on the face of the earth, and to-day we add our congratulation!) to those of al! liberty-loving people throughout the world, upon the consummation, ot another grand trinrar.h of the party in the inauguration of Kenjamin IJarrisou as President of the Cuited Slates, and pledge to him our nuualiticd allegiance and support. Tc pledge the best cfTortg of the Republican party to the strict enforcement of the prerent charter of the city of i lakland, and promi-e that the nominees of thi convention shall faithfully execute its provisions and uphold its spirit.

As in the past the Republican party has always exerted itself in the promotion and advancement of the welfare of this, onr favo-jed city, so now we do unqualifiedly plflge ourselves to look well to the doing of all things tha' may tend to aid in the improvement of her streets, parks, and public drives: to the betterment of her sanitary legulatimis, the improvement of her morals and the advancement of her schoolH. We are in favor of a free and untram-racletf ballgf. bpth at primary and general elections, rtj''1 denounce, i the most unmeasured terms all attempts to deprive the people of the free expression of their will at the ballot box by meuna of trickery and fraud. We are in favor of engrafting upon the educational 6ystem of the city a course for the training of our boys and' girls In the industrial arts, providing for the development of the hand ns well as the head, and thus fitting them for the urning of a livelihood when they are obliged to enter the race of life, and teaching them the nobility of all labor and the vice of idleness. We are heartily in favor of all efforts looking toward the encouraging of the manufacturing industries of this city and tbe building up of its material resources, and to that end we do invite to our midst all capital seeking legitimate investment and extend our encouragement to competing railroads, asking them to make this city the terminus of their lines and to locate among us their workshops and foundries.

We extend our thanks to onr representatives iu Congress for their untiring exertions in securing liberal appropriations for the opening of our harbor, and req uest that farther efforts be made in that direction until the harbor of Oakland shall become a port of entry for the mercantile fleets of tbe world. Whereas, throughout the past historv of this State our laboring people have been obliged, in their efforts to obtain a livelihood, to submit to fierce competition from Chinese laber; and Whebkas, many acts ol Congress have been passed looking toward the betterment of this condition of affairs, all of which have failed of the accomplishment of the purpose for which they were enacted: and Whereas, We hail with delight tbe final passage of the Scott Exclusion act, believing that in its provisions: our people will find the relief which they so long have sought from this Asiatic scourge; therefore be it Renolrttl, Tbat the people of OaklaDiJ, in convention assembled, do hereby most heartily approve and indorse the action of the Legislature of this State in sending to Washington special counsel to uphold the constitutionality of the act referred to RrolrtU That we confidently exptct the incoming administration to exert itself in tbe rigid and uncompromising enforcement of this law; Rttolrd, That this cortTention. recognizing tbe detaands of the laboring community for the equal I protection of our laws and the que consideration of ear municipal government, doe hereby extend to all labor in wbat-erer Chanel the same stay be employed its encouragement, sympathy and support. Rtmlted, That we recognlM the rights ol laboring men to band themselves together in organization, hTiEr for their purpose the secnrlnc of a fair day's wages for fair day't work, and tbe protection of the. laboring man from all unjnat oppression, feaolaed.

That we do pledge the laboring people oi the dtf of Oakland the support ol the Eepobilean party in all boaeat end lawful efforte to adraaee their interest f4projnotaaeirma4eTaaweUye.
