The bride wore a gown of organza over satapeau and venise lace designed with an empire bodice, Victorian neckline and long bishop sleeves. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a bandeau of venise lace and organza.

She carried a cascade of yellow roses and baby's breath centered with a yellow-throated white orchid showered with streamers of white love, knots. The bridegroom's father was best man. James B. McFarland. all of Columbia. The attendants wore gowns in mint, aqua and lilac print chiffon designed with rounded halter necklines and fitted bodices accented with V-waistlines. Cape jackets highlighted with wide ruffles softly tied at the fronts of the gowns.

They wore pale pink picture hats and carried pale pink asters. The bride's gown was of candleglow peau de soie and re-embroidered alencon lace designed with a scooped neckline edged with a border of lace flowers. The long fitted sleeves were fashioned with a deep border of matching lace ending at the wrists. The high rise bodice was finished at the front and back with small lace flowers and the modified A-skirt was softly gathered to form a full length chapel train. Her mantilla of candlelight illusion was edged in lace and she carried a bouquet of white glamellias and roses.

Allison-Vernon Laurel Baptist Church was the scene of the Saturday afternoon marriage vows of Miss Karen Marie Allison and Donal Dwayne Vernon. The Rev. A. L. Tumblin performed the ceremony.

Miss Sally Hill, organist, presented the wedding music. A reception was given In the church social hall by the bride's parents. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Zack Allison of 128 Colonial Drive.

She graduated from the Self. Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Donal Vernon of Manning.

He attends Clemson University and is an apprentice architect with Greenwood Associates. Miss Janet Radford of Greenwood was maid of honor. Stephens, organist, and Milton C. Fisher, soloist, presented a program of wedding music. A reception was given by the bride's parents in the social hall of the church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Olin Nelson Boone of 706 Keisler Drive. She graduated from Lander College with a B. A. degree and did graduate work in guidance at Furman University and Clemson University. She is a resource teacher for the Learning Disabled and Emotionally Handicapped at Saluda High School in Saluda.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Elbert Hester of Rosewell, New Mexico. He attended Springfield College in Illinois and graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.S. degree in industrial arts.

He completed obligations with the United States Army June 27 and was dismissed. Miss Jackie DeVore was maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Miss Mary Calhoun of Greenwood; Mrs. Irby Shealy of Anderson; and Mrs. Sandra Rankin of Greenwood.

The flower girl and rice girl were presented with sterling silver hair clips. The bride was presented with an orchid corsage. Miss Boone was feted with a bridal luncheon given by the bridesmaids, Miss Mary Calhoun, Miss Jackie DeVore, Mrs. Genie Shealy and Mrs. Sandra Rankin, at the home of Mrs.

Gus Byrd. The home was decorated with summer flowers and the buffet table was centered with an arrangement of love birds and fern nestled in yellow ribbons and white bells. The bride-elect was presented with a bridal cake knife and a white cymbidium orchid corsage. The attendants wore gowns of pink flocked organza designed with fitted waistlines and flounced hemlines.

Matching, bolero jackets topped the halter gowns and featured ruffled necklines and long sleeves. They carried nosegays of white pom pons and pink carnations interspersed with baby's breath and showered with emerald green satin ribbons. Pearl studded peau d'ange lace outlined the sheer yoke and enhanced the waistline.

The A-line silhouette and attached chapel train were bordered' with lace and embroidered tulle. She wore a camelot headpiece of peau d'ange lace and seed pearls attached to a fingertip veil of silk illusion. Her bouquet was a cascade of phalaenopis orchids interspersed with tips of Baker's fern and cascading pink butterfly roses adorned with pink satin. Best man was William Hester of Springfield, 111. Groomsmen were Don Hester of Springfield, Larry Hester of Rosweli; New Mexico; and Joe DeVore of Aiken.

Party Hqnors Bride-Elect Miss Kathie Leary, who will be married July 13 to Larry Collins, was entertained at a linen shower Friday night at the home of Mrs. Lee Stewart in Timberlake. Hostesses were Mrs.

Stewart, Mrs. Jimmy Counts, Mrs. Thomas Harvin and Mrs. John Martin. The Stewart home was decorated with mixed summer flowers and the buffet table was overlaid with a white linen and lace cloth and centered with an arrangement of yellow and white flowers.

The hostesses presented Miss Leary with a white blanket. Ideas flours, leavenings, salt and wheat germ. In a medium mixing bowl beat egg and sugar until combined: add flour mix ture and prune mixture; stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts. Turn into prepared pan.

Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean 50 to 55 minutes. Turn out and cool. For easy slicing, cover tightly with plastic wrap and let stand over night. Slice and spread with butter or cream cheese. When assembling several sandwiches at a time, keep the bread moist by covering with a dampened cloth or paper towel.
