Currently, she is playing the sexy role of a Viking princess in 'The Long Ships" on location in Yugoslavia, LIKES DIXIE HOLLYWOOD (UPI) - While some singers select their numbers in Hollywood or New York, Burl Ives credits much of his success to using Nashville, Term., as his once-a-year headquarters. Ives considers Nashville the capital of country music. Each year he sets up shop in a hotel suite and listens to the wares of song writers, new and old. BEAD THE CLASSIFIEDS! and hopes to return to it some day when his schedule is less hectic. But Dick's life isn't altogether limited to work and practice. Occasionally he will run off to Malibu where some of his friends own homes right on the beach. And on rare mornings he will hop aboard a horse for a ride around Griffith Park. "Once in a while I buzz down to Laguna Beach to see my parents," Dick says. "But it's a long haul." No Wedding Bells Chamberlain dates various Hollywood cuties, most often taking them to dinner with friends and then going to a movie. A determined single man, Dick has no marriage plans. The young star admits he still is making the adjustment to overnight fame. Two years ago no one had heard of him. Now he is recognized and singled out wherever he goes. "I have to be honest and say that I enjoy it all," he says. "Especially when I go somewhere like New York. It can be a pretty cold city. But people make me feel welcome. And so far it's been a great experience for me," Chamberlain realizes "Dr„ Kildare" (NBC-TV) cannot go on forever. When it folds he hopes to turn his attention to movies.
