' Mr and Mrs Vie Parsons and children, Linda and Jimmy, have returned from a week's vacation at Lake Okoboji. M* and MM Mall Kflpp Were recently visited by the letter's brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs Clarence Sand of Cascade. Mr and Mrs Roy Richardson had the Rev. and Mrs Ray Richardson and family o! La Crosse, Wis., as guests last week- Mrs Dick Allen spent a few days last week at Burt with her parents, Mr and Mrs Fred Gebken, Bill Duffy, Jr. and Mary Kay drove to Des Moines Tuesday to visit Jerry Duffy who attends Drake College. Sandra Hudson spent from Friday till Sunday at Hampton with Joanne Baldwin. At the conclusion of her visit Joanne came here with her for a visit. Mr and Mrs Glenn Jones were at. Des Moines last week and visited Glenn's brother-in-law and sister, Mr and Mfs James Latt. Mrs Lais Caldwell is being visited from Tuesday till Friday by her daughter, Mrs~R. N. Brsn- tpn and daughter Barbara, of Union City, Ind. , Mrs Phil Kohlhaas, Phil Jr. and Anita Rose spent a few days at Clarion last week with the Kohlhaas 1 son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Dale Brand. Mr and Mrs Matt Kapp have had as guests their niece and husband, Mr and Mrs John Froyd of Tucson, Ariz. The also spent some time With Mr and Mrs Russell Pickett. Mr and Mrs Clifford Johnson were visited Sunday by Mrs Johnson's" brother and sistef-lfl* law and father, Mr and Mrs Ralph Stoll and;son Dennis, of Gorwith and Ed Stoll. St. Cecelia's Action CktiW luncheon will be Thursday, July 7. at the academy. Serving starts at 11;15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Chairladies are Mrs Herman Thilges and Mrs Harold Knecht, Mrs Harlan Herbers of Well!!, Minn., gave birth to a baby girl Monday morning at St. Ann hospital. The littlexgirl weigh* ed seven pounds 4%bz. and has been named Holly Ahrf. Mr and Mrs M. J. Kern have had a recent letter from their son Delmar, in which he stated he ahd his wife would be home in July permenantly. They live at San Antonio, Tex., and Delma is in service. Mr and Mrs H. M. Kneeht will have as guests July 4th Mr and Mrs Henry Jenn of Iowa City; Beatrice Knecht of St. Paul; Mr and Mrs Norbert Knecht of West Bend; Ernma Knecht and Roman Knecht of Whittemore; and Ardis Henry. Mr and Mrs Phil Kohlhaas and Pliil Jr. drove to Cresco one day last week and Mr Kohlhaas attended to some farm business there. They remained over night with Mrs Kohlhaas' brother-in- law and sistev, Mr and Mrs Joe Lickteig. Mr and Mrs Joe Deines have moved to the Jim DoWds tenant farm home in the Good Hope area two miles north and folir miles west on highway 169. They have in the "Curly" Pratt house on S. Jerome St. This place will now be occupied by Mr and Mrs Bob Stevens. Mr Stevens Will teach al Junior high. Mr and Mrs Nat Bangs have returned from Locust; N. J. where they visited Mrs Bangs, parents, Mr and Mrs William Gridley. The Bangs are moving soon to their new home on south Jones street, formerly owned by the Richard McAlpines. The McAlpitie.s are moving into a new homo built just south of St. Ann hospital. Dr. and Mrs N. J. Kelley recently took their son Jim, to Omaha, Neb., to entrain for the Union Pacific Lodge at West Yellowstone park. This is his third year of work at the place during his vacation. He is a stu- dent at the Stfite University of Iowa, Iowa ,Cily. The daughter Susan, is counselor at the Flying G. Girl Scout camp near Denver. She, too, is a student but at Iowa Stale College, Ames. Enrouto home Dr. and Mrs Kelley stopped at Harlan to visit Mrs Kelley's brother-in-law and sislei, Mr and Mrs R. G. Finn. Patient At Ft. Dodge E. H.
