Galesburg ftegister-Mail, Galesburg, III, Thursday, Sept, S, 1963 Alexis Unit Board Okays School Budget ALEXIS — The Alexis Community Unit School District 400 Board of Education held its financial meeting Aug. 29. All members attended. All bills were paid. The revolving fund report was also accepted. The board adopted the 1963-64 school budget and set the amounts necessary for tax levy purposes. A report on the summer maintenance program was given and the tentative bus routes presented by Supt. Zarcoff. New equipment will be purchased for the industrial arts shop as recommended by the state office. Ronald Patterson, principal of the High School and Junior High School reported that fill was in readiness for the opening day of school. The School Board held a reception Aug. 30 for all teachers of the unit in the home economics room. Mrs. Richard Olin and Mrs. George Zarcoff poured. READ THE CLASSIFIEDS! Mr. and Mrs. Bob Perryman have moved to the rental property of Harry Tompkins, vacated by the Ivan Jems family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dixon who had been tenants In the property of Mrs. Edson Bowman the past 14 years, moved to Canton Monday. Mrs. Lela Webber, who resides on her farm east of Yates City, will be the new tenant in the Bowman property vacated by the Dixons. So many sauces to serve with fish fillets: tomato, cucumber, tartare, caper, lemon or egg. Anniversary Is Observed at Yates City YATES CITY - Mrs. Glen Rogers entertained at a coffee Saturday in honor of the birthday of her neighbor, Mrs. Fred Rector. Others attending were the honoree's daughter, Mrs. Fritz Grover of Celina, Ohio; Mrs. A. L. Rector and her daughter, Mrs. Mario Goff of Lake Zurich and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lee Rector of f alias, Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rogers spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Swartzbaugh, who recently moved into their new home in Abingdon. Miss Marlene Eldert has returned to Anaheim, Calif., for her second year of teaching after having spent the past month visiting relatives and friends. Choosy Thief FORT PIERCE, Fla.
