Zion A.M.E. Church in the Promise Land Community by the Rev.

J.E. Speed church pastor. Jimmy Graham of Johnston, keyboardist and vocalist, presented wedding music. The bride is the daughter of the late Mary Alice Jones and David Frank Means. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs.

Verdel Jones of Promise Land. A 1989 graduate of Greenwood High School, she graduated from Lander University in 1993. She is employed by the Building Department of the City of Greenwood. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

George Clarke of Saluda. A 1987 graduate of Saluda High School, he is employed by Capsugel in Greenwood. Belinda Mims of Greenwood, the bride's sister, and Sandra Clarke of Saluda, the bridegroom's sister, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Tawaina Mims, Sonya Anderson, Deidre Warren, all of Greenwood, Greta Johnson of Due West, Frances Hawkins of Wake Forest, N.C., Demetres Clarke, the bridegroom's sister, Felicia Hill, Sheila Coates, all of Saluda, and Angie Gilliam of Virginia Beach, Va. Whitney Williams and Trimece Etheredge, both of Saluda, were junior bridesmaids.

Flower girls were Brianna Clarke and Brionca Clarke, both of Saluda. The bride, escorted down the aisle by her brother, Glasco Tolbert Jr. of Greenwood, wore a formal gown of white satin featuring a neckline and long Juliette sleeves. The fitted bodice was embellished with crystal and pearl beading. Jewelled appliques enhanced the deep back.

Matching jewelled accents embellished the full skirt flowing into a cathedral-length train. Her two-tiered, fingertip-length veil of illusion was caught by a headpiece embellished with crystal Mrs. Michael Cortez Clarke Bridget Anita Means and pearl beading. The attendants wore formal gowns of black crepe featuring a white neckline embellished with pearl and crystal beading. The fitted, floor-length skirt was accented with a knee-high walking slit.

Jermaine Clarke of Saluda, the bridegroom's brother, and Ronnie Gilliam of Virginia Beach were best men. Groomsmen were Derek Murray, Jerunaca Turner, Herbert Childs, all of Greenwood, Jermiah Stevens, James Clarke, Wayne Clarke, Robert Lindsey, Darryl Hill, all of Saluda, and Kenneth Crouch of Aiken. Jomare Turner of Greenwood, Karsten Gilliam of Saluda, and Jonathan Gilliam of Johnston, were ushers. Tiffany Jones of Clifton, N.J. was ringbearer.

A reception was held at American Legion Post 20 in Greenwood. After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Greenwood. Donald Rowell of Greenwood.

Kristie Hooper of Hodges and Gene and Michelle Rowell of Greenwood presented wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Griffin of 1006 McKenzie Road i in Ninety Six. She graduated from Greenwood High School and the Greenwood County Career Center.

She is employed by Food Lion in 1 Greenwood. The bridegroom is the son of John H. Rodgers of Greenwood and Jane and Miley Harvey of Hodges. A graduate of Greenwood High School, he attended Piedmont Technical College. He is employed by Food Lion in Saluda.

Crystal Griffin of Ninety Six was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Harvey, Sherri Zachary, both of Saluda, Jodi Williams, Tiffany Smith, both of Greenwood, Sharee Cogdill of Ninety Six, Katrina Horton of Hodges, and Stacey Guy of Newberry. Kristen Hastings of Ninety Six and Nicole Waites of Hodges were flower girls. The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a formal gown of white satin featuring a sweetheart neckline. Re-embroidered lace medallions, sequins and pearls enhanced the bodice and illusion sleeves.

The full A-line skirt flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train. Her two-tiered, elbow-length veil of illusion featured pearl accents and was caught by a headband embellished with pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white and purple rose buds, purple lilies, and white and purple varigated pansies enhanced with baby's breath, pearl accents, and streamers of pearl and satin lace. Mrs. John Brant Rodgers Jennifer Nicole Griffin The attendants wore formal, A- line gowns of purple crepe and satin featuring a scoop neckline accented with matching piping.

The fitted, princess-style satin bodice was highlighted with a satin bow in back. They carried long stemmed white and purple roses enhanced with teardrop accents and bows of purple and blush pink sheer ribbon. John H. Rodgers was his son's best man. Ushers were Steven Rodgers, Robert Rodgers, both of Laurens, Chris Griffin of Ninety Six, Chris Harvey of Saluda, Richey Allen, Rob Temple, both of Greenwood, and Lee Driggers of Prosperity.

Alex Rodgers of Greenwood and Steven Cogdill of Ninety Six were ringbearers. The bride's parents hosted a reception at the Heritage House. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, the couple will live at 201 Seymour Drive in Greenwood. Hughes-Shorter BALTIMORE, Md. Francis Flydale of Dunbar, Pa. He graduated from Walter H. Page High School in Greensboro in 1984 and from Highpoint University in High Point, N.C. in 1995. He is a supervisor at AMP Incorporated in Greensboro.

The bride wore a formal, sleeveless gown of ivory dulciana and Italian satin featuring a sabrina neckline highlighted with French piping. The fitted bodice was enhanced with accents and pleats of Italian satin at the midriff. A key-hole back and flowing bow accented the chapel-length train.

Her two-tiered, fingertip-length Mrs. J. Timothy Harbaugh Robin Elizabeth Brown veil of French illusion featured satin ribbon accents and was caught by a bow of ivory dulciana satin and sheer illusion. She carried a cascading bouquet of dendrobium orchids, stephanotis, bridal white roses, and daisies. The attendants wore formal, sleeveless gowns of navy blue dulciana satin featuring a sabrina neckline and natural waistline.

Matching double banding accented with full, floor-length box-pleated skirt. They carried clutch bouquets of stock, gerbera daisies, roses, golden aster, and lilies enhanced with autumn leaves and French-wired chiffon ribbon. James McArthur Harbaugh was his son's best man.
