The two students, Dudley Kirk Davis. 20. 1004 South Missouri, and Barry Lynn Walz. 19, Route 4. according to Sedalia police records were apprehended on the college parking lot with a pickup truck containing what was believed to be mari juana According to the police reports, the two were taken to the police station, charged with investigation of possession of marijuana, then placed in jail while the investigation was being conducted They were later released On Jan 31, according to Walz, the pair appeared before the Student Judicial Council, composed of two faculty members and three students, and were informed of the council's recommendations.

The pair were informed the council recommended disciplinary and social probation until the end of this semester, which ends May 1 At that time the matter will be reviewed Both students are sophomores. Police reports indicate the apprehensions were made on the basis of an anonymous telephone call to out a truck on the SFCC parking lot." The informant told police the truck contained marijuana. Cars and officers were dispatched to the scene, where the two men were found near the truck Officers saw what they believed to be marijuana in the truck, and arrested the two men They searched the truck and found substances they believed to be marijuana Some cigarettes believed to be marijuana were found on at least one of the men's person The men were taken to the police station, where they were booked for investigation Prosecuting Attorney Adam Fischer declined to file charges, however, after he learned that the search and seizure were illegal since thev were based on an anonymous tip and that no search warrant had been issued Charles T. No Evidence Of Shooting Turned Up Police are continuing to investigate a report that a 16-year-old boy shot an intruder attempting to force his way into his home Tuesday morning. So far police have found no physical evidence that the incident took place.

The boy, son of Mr. and Mrs Robert Brown. 1208 East 12th, told police a man knocked at the front door of his home and when the youth answered the door the man threatened to hit him with a steel pipe he was carrying. According to the youth, the would-be attacker shoved him to the floor. The boy said he got up.

The boy said he shot the man in the right leg. and he limped across the front porch and fell on the lawn. The boy gave a detailed description to police, and said the man did not appear to be intoxicated In questioning residents in the neighborhood, police failed to find anyone who had noticed the incident. One resident said she was outside during the time indicated, and that she did not see the car or the man No blood was found along the route from the house to the ear, and the steel pipe was not found, according to police.
