to hospital Buggy sends The collision of an Amish buggy and a car near Hermitage sent two people to the hospital Saturday morning Abie Kinsingcr 33 Wheatland and his two young sons were en-routc to Hermitage in a horse-drawn buggy when they were struck from behind about 8:05 am by a 1987 Chevrolet stalionwagon driven by Kevin Yclcnik 22 Manalpan New Jersey Kinsingcr received back injuries and his son Joseph 10 received moderate injuries to his head and arm Both were taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital for treatment itix iijii Ji i The Kinsinger buggy was destroyed but the horse was not injured The buggy was loaded with boxes of bagged baked goods the family was planning to sell at Pioneer Days activities at the Hickory County Museum Pioneer Days exhibitors and a neighbor of the Kinsingers volunteered to operate a booth at the museum to sell the baked goods to help the family Saturday The accident was investigated by Cpl Jim Postman of the Missouri Highway Patrol the election process Almost anyone eligible to vote is eligible to serve on the county committee Nominating petitions may be requested at the Hickory County Office through October 30 which is the last day to nominate by petition Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters November 24 1995 The ballots must be relumed by December 4 1995 and were released later that day Yclcnik was not injured but his car received extensive damage Yclcnik said he was blinded by the early morning sun as he came upon the horse-drawn buggy on a steep hill a half mile west of Hermitage on Highway 34 The driver of the vehicle following Yclcnik said she was also blinded by the sun did not sec the collision occur and almost crashed into the back of the Yclcnik vehicle All three occupants of the buggy were thrown into the ditch by the force of the impact younger son David was not injured Wheatland will elect a producer to serve a 3-ycar term and LAA 1 consisting of townships Montgomery Tyler and Wcaublcau will elect a producer to serve a 2-ycar term Farm owners operators and tenants of legal voting age may vote if they arc eligible to take part in any FSA program The office encourages all producers to get County resident was abducted near Macks Creek in 1991 Her body was found in Hickory County Attorney General Jay Nixon raid his office will assist in prosecuting Marvin Chancy 34 and Jess Rush 20 who are charged with the murder of Darby The Camden County Prosecuting Attorney requested assistance with the case The attorney general's office often provides assistance to rural counties with murder State Park Marina near Pittsburg has forced the ramp to be closed A spokesperson for the State Park said Monday that two vehicles have slid into the lake recently while attempting to launch a boat at the ramp No one was injured but the occupants of the vehicles had to climb out the windows of the vehicles as they were submerged in the deep water of the ramp The lake's water level has remained at a low level during the past several weeks because of continuing drought conditions and the growth of algae on the launching ramp has made it loo slick for vehicles without four wheel drive A 70-year-old driver was the second driver to lose his vehicle to the slick ramp last weekend His 91-year-old father was with him and both had to roll down their windows and swim for safety as the vehicle sank
