Aug. 24, 1967 James H. Sligh James Hilton (Jim) Sligh, 50, 203 Janeway, died Wednesday at 5:15 p.m, at Self Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Richland County, son of Mrs. Nannie Raines Sligh of Hartsville and the late James Daniel Sligh.

A salesman, he lived in Greenwood since 1958 and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Folsom Sligh; three daughters, Mrs. J. H.

(Beverly) Kemp of Greenwood, Mrs. James R. (Carolyn) Huber of Lakeland, and Mrs. W. T.

(Kathryn) Beckham of Louisburg, N.C.; a brother, Cecil E. Mrs. J. R. Weeks of CharlesSligh of Hartsville; a sister, ton; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from Blyth Funeral Home Friday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Floyd and the Rev. Lewis Gibson officiating. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ralph Blume, Lindsey Blume, James Ellis Raines, W.

H. McDaniel Andrew Harrison McDaniel, 61, of 30 Davis died Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. at Self Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a 1 native of Monroe, a son of the late William and Mattie Cheeks McDaniel, and had lived in Greenwood for 21 years. He was an employee of Greenwood Mills and member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Lorine Peppers McDaniel; four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Reynolds, Mrs. Reva McLean and Mrs. Peggy Stewart of Greenwood and Mrs.

Carol Wood of Ninety Six; a son, Leon McDaniel of Chamblee, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wall and Miss Vera McDaniel of Bethlehem, and two brothers, Willie McDaniel and Simton McDaniel of Bethlehem, several half-brothers and half-sisters; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from Blyth Funeral Home Friday at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charlie Harris and Rev.

J. H. H. Tooley. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The pallbearers will be Jim Reynolds, David Hill, Troy, James and Roy Peppers, Clay McDaniel, Gene Hollingsworth and Frank Dillashaw. The body is at the funeral home. today. Negro Joins S.C. State Hospital Staff COLUMBIA (AP)- Dr. P. Johnson of Aiken, the state's first Negro psychiatrist, has joined the staff of South Carolina State Hospital.

Dr. William S. Hall, commissioner mental health, said today Johnson is the first Negro psychiatrist to serve on medical staff of the state's two mental hospitals. CHANGES NAME CHARLOTTE (AP) The Goodyear Mortgage Corp. has changed its name to the First Atlantic Corp. and named William P. McClain its new president. The Charlotte based firm handles $130 million in mortgage loans for more than 40 investors.
