Republican, Oct. 22, 1973 Fromthe blotter Bradley was taken to SL Joseph Hospital following the incident told sheriffs deputies that he must have fallen asleep-thus causing an accident letween him and Bruce Astone, 27, Marengo, sheriff's deputies reported today. Incidents Law enforcement officials reported the following incidents: John.W. Sherman, 17, Capron, was charged with a muffler violation by sheriff's deputies' on Saturday. State police charged Mitchell E. McNeal, 20, Kirkland, with being overweight on his truck load. The charge was made on Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies charged Harold E. Klinefelter, 28, R.R. 2, with battery on Saturday after a complaint against him was signed by Wanda Klinefelter allegeding that he choaked and kicked her. Steven A. Emling, 23, Cherry Valley, was charged with being overweight on his load by state police on Sunday.

State police charged Donald J. Measner, 27, Beloit, with driving while intoxicated on Sunday. Carl H. Green, 32, Gallagher, was charged by police with driving while intoxicated on Sunday by police. Sheriff's deputies charged James C.

Sharp, 21, Beloit, with disobeying a stop sign on Sunday. Police charged Roland C. Hamilton, 67, Rockford, with a' signs and signals violation. Steven C. McCoy, 18, R.R.

3, Box 263T was charged with a muffler violation by police. by the Capron Rescue Squad. He was dismissed from the hospital Sunday. Minor damage Sheriffs deputies reported that Susan L. Freek, 18, 710 Willow, reported that she was in the process of passing another car when it turned into her lane without signaling causing slight damage to the left front of her car.

a. The incident Saturday. was reported Into ditch Sheriff's deputies reported that Lowell D. Neuenschwander, 20, 616 Julien went off the road and into a ditch on Davis School Road Saturday night. Neuenschwander told the county police that he was unfamiliar with the road and did not make a curve.

He was charged with traveling too fast for conditions. 147 foot skid Sheriff's deputies reported that Michael W. Redner, no age listed, 536 Biester, skid 147 feet after he came over a hill on Burr Oak Road at 3 a.m. Sunday and lost control of his car. No tickets were issued.

Hit and run Richard J. Whitney, 26, Rockford, reported to sheriff's deputies that a car passed him in a no passing zone on Genoa Road at 7 p.m. on Saturday and cut back in front of him causing damage to the front of Whitney's vehicle. Reichl, 22, Westmont, Sheriffs deputies have charged three men with illegal possession of marijuana and withe transportation of an open bottle of liquor, sheriff's deputies reported today.

Peacock, 19, 316 N. Main. The three were picked up by Deputy Richard Gluff Saturday at Bonus and Marengo Roads, the report stated. The three allegedly had marijuana with them and an open bottle of Ripple wine. Peacock was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a' minor.

The deputies reported that the three were very co-operative at the time of arrest. Three-car accident Sheriff's deputies reported a Saturday accident at Bypass 20 and Irene Road involving Richard L. Ressler, 28, 1108 Dalbigne; Terry L. Kuhlman, 20, Rockford, and George E. Wood, 52, Rockford.

The report stated that Wood was parked facing south on Irene road, Ressler was westbound on Bypass 20 and Kuhlman was northbound on Irene Road when Kuhlman allegedly pulled out in front of Ressler. Ressler then caused Kuhlman to strike Wood, the report stated. Kuhlman was charged with failure to yield at a stop intersection. Truck-car incident Police reported an accident to have occurred Saturday evening at South State and Locust Avenue involving Robert S. Schewe, 37, Harris, and Maxine P.

The department answered a call to the rear of Schultz Brother's department store at 6:20 p.m. Sunday to extinguish a pile of burning boxes. Open seal violations Police charged four men with an open liquor violation at 7:50 a.m. Sunday when the men were found to allegedly have two open cans of beer in the car. Charged were Cantu A. Kern, 87, 221 E. Harrison, died at 7 a.m. Sunday in her home after an apparent heart attack. She was a life-long resident of Belvidere, being a former 4th grade teacher at Perry School before her marriage. She was born in Belvidere on July 20, 1886, the daughter of J.

Seymour and Lelia Heath Van Epps. She married Robert Kern on March 11, 1912 in Belvidere. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home with the Rev. George Ballein, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established in her honor for a portable heart pacer for Highland Hospital. FLOYD BUCKLE Floyd Buckle, 78, Genoa, died Sunday in his home. Funeral services are pending at Cooper-Sullivan Funeral Home, Genoa. ESTHER A. JONES Mrs.

Esther A. Jones, 82, DeKalb, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at Belvidere Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 26, 1891 in DeKalb, the daughter of William and Ellen Beaumont Wallis. She married William Benecke and later married P.J.

Jones. She is survived by one son, Wallis Benecke, of DeKalb; one brother, Joseph Wallis of California; one sister, Mrs. Laura Smith of DeKalb; two grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Garnett, one son, Herman Benecke, six sisters, one brother, and both husbands. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.

Saturday at Maple Crest Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was an interior decorator of 47 years, retiring in 1963. He was born in DeKalb Co. on May 29, 1878, the son of George and Belle Goff Hollembeak. He married Lilly May Hardy on Nov.

29, 1900 in Sycamore. He was a former member of Oak Glenn Grange. He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Clara Briggs, Mrs. Emma Hart, and Mrs.

Oliver Hallstrom, all of Belvidere, and Mrs. Grace BeBarr of Lexington, two sons, Elmer, Belvidere and Lawrence of Marengo; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, two sons, Maynard and Haskall, one sister, one brother, and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pjm. George T. Ballein, pastonof First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shattucks Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Police reported that there were 28 Mi feet of skid marks to the point of impact and Ms. Boddy was charged with failure to yield to oncoming traffic. Unmarked intersection No tickets were issued in a two-car accident causing more than $900 damage to the two vehicles because the incident occurred at an unmarked intersection Saturday, police reported. Timothy J. Hyser, 18, 529 W.

Locust; and Peter J. Tackes, 17, R.R. 2 Box 152, collided at the intersection and both said they did not see the other vehicle coming. Hyser traveled sideways and hit a utility pole with the rear of his vehicle after the impact, police said. Hyser received $400 damage to the right rear side and rear bumper of his car and Tackes received $500 damage to the front end of his car, police estimated.

Hit pole Sheriff's deputies reported that James E.
