Page Five OF JOEL CRONK CALLED WELL KNOWN FORMER RESIDENT LAID AT REST THIS AFTERNOON IN BELVIDERE CEMETERY REMAINS BROUGHT HERE FROM MISHAWAKA, DIANA, WHERE SHE DIED ON FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER LONG ILLNESS. Mrs. Joel Cronk, formerly of this city, died Friday night at 7:10 o'- clock at her home in 'Mishawake, Indiana, following an extended illness.

She was about 76 years of age. The body was brought to Belvidere this afternoon on the train arriving at 1:05 o'clock. The re mains were taken directly to the Free Methodist church 'from where funeral services were held at 3.0% clock, the Rev. Brooks of Aurora officiating. Burial was in Belvidere cemetery.

For years the Cronk family home was made at 1004 North State street. Mrs. Cronk was very active in religious work and was known and loved by many to whom her passing will bring deep grief. She is survived by three sons, of California, of Kansas City and Dr. Benjamin of Chicago and five Mrs.

Wilkin, South Bend, Indiana, and Mrs. John R. Doolittle of Chicago. Mr. Cronk passed away about 18 years ago and two sons, Louis A.

An interurban car struck an auto at LaPorte, killing Alvin Rush, 36, his wife, Muriel, 25, and John Jeffery, 27, all of Three Oaks, Mich. Jeffery's 3 year old son was probably fatally injured. Mrs. Rebecca Winslow, Indianapolis, was killed and four others were injured when their auto was struck by a Pennsylvania passenger train near Seymour. After Leo Hass, 20, of Jasper, had been missing for eight hours, his body was found pinned beneath the wreckage of his auto in a' corn' field car Jasper.

George Holliday, 65, of Rushville was perhaps fatally injured last night when the automobile being driven by his daughter, turned over in a ditch south of Muncie. FERGUSON FAMILY REUNION AT PARK Fifty-one members of the Ferguson family were present at the reunion held in Belvidere park yester day, the families of Mrs. Bishop Fen guson, Youen, Richard, Martin and Frank Ferguson being represented. A picnic spread was enjoyed at the noon hour and the hours following were passed with games and contests.

The day also marked the 35th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Miller of Santa Monica, California.

Mrs. Miller is the daughter. of Mrs. Bishop Ferguson. The eldest person present at the delightful gathering was Mrs.

Wright suit in circuit court here Aug. 20. The case has been in the courts for several months and this is the third hearing Judge Fulton has call-. ed. The suit is to set aside a contract entered into between the participants in which the complainant is said to have agreed to trade some city real estate for farm property owned by Wright.
