Covell will be manager of this plant. J. McKenny Willis Son are not new to this section. They have been delivering several hundred thousand dollars worth of feed from Easton to this area each year, but they feel that they can serve their customers better by being nearer them. The plant will be equipped with the most modern grinding' and custom-mixing equipment, and as soon as machinery is obtainable a grain unit will b-j added.

A new and most modern set of electrically operated scales is being installed with a platform large enough to weigh trailers. This plant is located on the Railroad Property adjoining the Ice Plant. J. McKenny Willis Son are now doing business with more than two- thirds of the farmers in Talbot county, and last year shipped more than one-half million bushels of grain from that point. With this experience, plus the experience that Mr.

Maryland Offers Building For Sale Sealed bids for the two-story frame house at the corner of First and Market streets here will be received by the district engineer of the Maryland State Roads Commission in Chestertown until noon June 4. Tho building must be removed by Aug. 1. The iarge, old white house has two rooms and a hall facing the Courthouse Square, with a smull wing in the rear. The State Roads Commission, at the request of the Caroline County commissioners and the town commissioners of Denton, recently purchased property Mrs.

Maude Stewart Downes, of Washington, to eliminate a traffic hazard. The approach to Denton from the west is solely by way of the Dentcn bridge over the Choptank River and the causeway. Motorists driving up the hill must intersect traffic going north and south on First street, which is not visible. The tragic death of Harry S. Dailey, of Marydei, director of the Denton National Bank, at this intersection and minor accidents at this point have created sentiment for the removal of the Stewart property, which protrudes so far across the highway that less than half of Market street is visible to motorists driving into town.

Baltimore and Washington to the seashore passes this point. The State Roads Commission plans to widen the boulevard to correspond with the width of Market Street, and to plant shrubbery to beautify-the landscape after the hill has been graded. Board Head Here Announcement is made that Mr. Norman P. Foster, Manager of the Salisbury Field Office of the Social Security Board, will be in Denton on Tuesday next, May 29th.

He will be available for interview on that day at the Post Office at 2 p. m. Wins Decoration Bishop Flint Appoints Essel Thomas Easton District Superintendent The Rev. Essell P. Thomas, pastor of St.

Paul's Methodist Church, Wilmington, was appointed superintendent of the Easton District of the Peninsula Conference of the 'Methodist Church, and the Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Mulligan, pastor of St. Paul's Church at Cambridge, was announced as the new superintendent of the Dover District.

There were 45 changes made in the pastorates of the conference; 15 in the Wilmington District, 12 in the Dover District, 13 in the Easton District, and 5 in the Salisbury District. Announcement of the appointments was made by Bishop Charles Wesley Flint of the Washington Area, at the closing session of the sixth annual meeting of the conference Monday morning in St. Paul's Methodist Church, Wilmington. Mr. Thomas succeeds the Rev.

Dr. J. Earle Cummings, who has been appointed to the pulpit of St. Paul's Church. Dr.

Mulligan follows the Rev. Dr. Walter A. Hearn, whose term as superintendent of the Dover District expires. He has been made pastor of the Elkton church.

The Rev. J. J. Bunting, this year's incumbent at Elkton, has been transferred to St. Paul's Church at Cambridge, which Dr.

Mulligan is leaving. Two Are Holdovers The superintendents who have two more years to serve on their six- year terms are the Rev. Dr. Oliver J. Collins of the Wilmington district, and the Rev.

Ralph C. Jones of the Salisbury district. The new superintendents are appointed for six years. While 15 changes were made in the Peninsula Conference, only two 'were in the churches in Wilmington. These were the appointment of Dr.

Cummings to St. Paul's Church and the transfer of the Rev. Charles H. Hudson from Trinity to St. Georges.

The Rev. W. S. Grant succeeds Mr. Hudson as pastor of Trinity.

The Rev. H. K. Krams, of St. Michaels, succeeds the Rev.

Brooks E. Reynolds at Marshall ton, while Mr. Reynolds had been made pastor of the new St. Mark's Church at Wilmington Manor. The Rev.

R. E. Proud, now at St. Georges, goes to Holly Oak, succeeding the Rev. Harry H.

Conner, who has been transferred to the Still Pond-Betterton, charge. The Rev. J. H. Link comes to Hockessin from Port Deposit, and the Rev.

W. H. Revelle Jr. goes to Port Deposit. Reports on Courtesies The Rev.

H. W. Branford, chairman of the committee on courtesies, submitted that report at Monday morning's meeting. The conference meeting was extended until Monday morning by a resolution presented by the Rev. C.

M. Eiderdice of Crisfield, providing that an extra session be held Monday morning in which the appointments be announced, so that this business procedure would not be done at an ordination or a religious service. The resolution, which was adopted, also provided that in the future the annual conference meeting would open Thursday afternoon instead of Wednesday night, formerly, and close Monday morning. This was the first time Bishop Flint had presided at the Peninsula Conference sessions. He was a vote of thanks by the committee on courtesies.
