She attend- ed Atwater High School and then graduated from college with an LVN license. She met an airman from Castle Air Force Base and they married and had a daughter, Julie.

Carole pur- sued a career in nursing, both bedside and later in the of medical insurance autho- rization. After Julie married and had a child, it was Car- joy to move to Sacra- mento to be a Nana to her grandson, Aidan. Carole had two best friends in high school who went everywhere together, even tripledated! They stayed in touch all throughout their careers, and Carole was able to take many trips with them, including to London, Edin- burgh and Paris. After her re- tirement, she volunteered for Hospice and at her church in their funeral luncheon minis- try. Carole was diagnosed with and spent her last three years in mem- ory care facilities, succumbing to its complica- tions.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Carroll Pearse (Charlton); her grandson Aidan Ericksen; her sisters, Kim Rorabaugh (Ryan) and Marilyn Owens (Larry); and her brother Len Yost (Jan). The family is grateful and thankful to Memo- ry Care for their exceptional compassion and loving care. The funeral service will be private, but there will be a Celebration of Life at the home of Larry and Marilyn Owens on Saturday, Decem- ber 5, 2020. Underwood Ryan Edgar was born March 5, 1923 in Missouri and passed away Tuesday November 17, 2020 in Sac- ramento. She is survived by her son Kit Ryan, daughter Susan Lee, grandchildren Jo- seph Lee and Kristine Phil- lips, and great-grandchildren Zachary Lee, Emma Phillips and Ethan Phillips. She was an innovative teacher who cared deeply for her students. She began her career in Iowa, where she taught for 9 years. After moving to Modesto, Califor- nia she continued teaching in 1956.

First for 6 years at Shackelford Elementary and then for 26 years at Wilson Elementary. In more than 41 years teaching she touched the lives of many students and was honored for her commitment to education. After retirement, she mar- ried Jack Edgar and enjoyed 14 years with him before his passing. They enjoyed trav- eling and taking cruises to- gether, visiting many exotic locations. In 2010, she moved to Re- gency Place in Sacramento to be near her family.

She enjoyed several years of independent living before transferring to assisted living in 2019. She was the ambas- sador for incoming residents and welcomed all with open arms. She was known and loved by all. Throughout her life she enjoyed family gatherings, physical travel, read- ing, and church activities. She was extremely compet- itive and loved playing, and winning, games.

Drucilla was a devoted Christian who gained joy and strength through her faith. She taught Sunday school for many years and particularly enjoyed teaching younger children. She attended Cen- tenary Methodist Church in Modesto and Hope Method- ist Church in Sacramento. No funeral service is currently scheduled. Drucilla Edgar March 5, 1923 November 17, 2020 Modesto, California Andy passed away peace- fully October 3,2020 in the home of his steadfast friend caretaker, Rozann Black- well He was born in Dickinson, N.D to John Lucy Ka- velaars. Growing up in the Modesto area he attended Sacred Heart School, Tur- lock, St Stanislaus School, Modesto graduated from CCHS Modesto 1975 where he met his best friend Keven MacDonald with whom he shared a lifelong friendship- and became an important part of family. After graduating, Andy went to Cal Poly school of architecture later went abroad to study architecture Ecole Fountaineb- leau outside of Paris, where he was recognized as the best student winning 1981 Premier Prix de Architecture which won him a full year of academics in Paris. He returned to San Luis Obispo worked at several architec- ture In 2017 he began his stoic with cancer. To his de- light he was able to travel to Paris Holland to visit his Dutch in 2018 2019.

After he passed we found taped to his computer in his writing afraid of dying not living Andy is preceded in death by his parents John Lucy Kavelaars He is survived by his sister Donna Robinson (Doug) his brother Perry Ka- velaars (Zilka) and nephew John Andrew John Kavelaars February 19, 1957 October 3, 2020 Denair, California John was able to say goodbye and spend quality time with fam- ily and friends before cancer took him from us, time he truly treasured. John was a remarkable man who could fabricate, replicate and im- prove upon almost anything using his ingenuity, attention to detail and experience. His media included metal, wood, plastic and everything in be- tween. If it broke, he could it. If he it, he could make a new one.

He retired as a machinist at Tri-Valley Growers in 1997 and became a full time al- mond farmer, working in the and in his shop until he was physically unable to. He was proud of his Portuguese heritage and enjoyed telling people about his lineage from the Azores Islands. He was a good friend to those who knew him, loyal and hard- working, he would always answer a call for assistance or to help solve a problem. John was an active mem- ber of the Stanislaus County Coin Club and would readily share his knowledge, exper- tise and passion with anyone and everyone who would ask about numismatics. He was also an avid scuba and free diver in his younger years and was a member of the Stanislaus County Fin- men Dive Club.

Where he recounted multiple run-ins with too large to spear and all the Abalone that got away. John leaves his wife of 23 years Bonnie Silveria; daughter Sherry Day (Dan); his sons John Silveria II (Brie) and Adam Gerhart (Kristine); seven grandchil- dren and three great grand- children, sister Alberta Schaufel and numerous niec- es and nephews. All of whom he loved and cared about deeply. He was predeceased by his father Manual Silve- ria, mother Rose Cabral, four brothers and four sisters. Thank you to all of the wonderful friends who vis- ited John, brought food and helped with his care.

You all truly made a difficult time more bearable. John was tru- ly touched by the outpouring of love, gratitude and support after his diagnosis. Also, the family wishes to thank Community Hospice for their wonderful care and assistance. A celebration of life will be held when COVID restrictions are reduced in or- der for all of his friends and family to attend. John Silveria January 4, 1942 November 20, 2020 Severance, New York On November 16 Merritt Hulst, 76, of Severance, NY, peacefully passed away af- ter a courageous battle with cancer at home surrounded by loving family and friends.

Merritt was born in Ticond- eroga, NY, on July 26, 1944, to Edward and Dorothy Hulst of Severance. Always curi- ous and active, he rarely left a stone unturned. He played high school varsity basket- ball, was an Eagle Scout, graduated Universi- ty in OR, helped maintain a church camp in the Sier- ras, and spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia from 1968-1970. By 1972 he had earned his Masters of Theology from Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, IN. For 17 years he pastored Church of the Brethren congregations in New Paris, OH, and Wa- terford, before joining his brother in agricultural re- search and construction jobs.

Merritt was most happy with simple pleasures and always ready to lend a helping hand or a chance to spin another story. In 2008 he returned permanently to Schroon Lake, NY, where his histor- ical family home was at the center of his heart. There he participated on the Schroon Lake Association Board for a number of years. His love for Schroon Lake was only surpassed by his desire to educate people on the histo- ry, and enjoyment of the lake. This community oriented man with a Quaker sensibility always viewed people through a gentle heart.

He will be missed. He was predeceased by his brother David Hulst, and is survived by his wife Analise Rigan, sisters Patri- cia Galt, Dianne Warn, and 10 children: Torrey Rigan, Deborah Brandt, Damon Hulst, Miriam Hulst-Forney, Julie Brown, Sarah Wood, Jonah Hulst, AnnRachel Clark, Noah Hulst, Daniel Hulst, and 11 grandchildren. Merritt Hulst November 16, 2020 Modesto, California Dorothy Geissler Quadrino, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 22, 2020 in Modesto, CA. She was 90 years old. Dorothy, the oldest daugh- ter of John and Rose Mond- ini, was born in New York City. She grew up in a mil- itary family with her sister Jean, living wherever her parents were stationed in the United States and abroad. In 1953, Dorothy married Robert F.

Geissler, a phar- maceutical and advertising executive who also served in the United States Air Force (Korean and Air Force Reserve, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Widowed at age 42 in 1973, Dorothy sold real estate and earned her de- gree, becoming a high school career Councilor. In 1981, Dorothy mar- ried Michael W. Quadrino II, CPA and Nassau County New York Deputy Comp- troller. He was a Navy veter- an of both WWII and Korea. Together they shared twen- ty-nine years of work and retirement together while residing in Baldwin, NY and Vernice, Florida.

She worked hard and led a purpose driv- en life, but family mattered most. She loved entertaining, travel, current events and was active in politics and the arts. Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter Karen Shelly (Milo), three granddaugh- ters; Kristen (Chad), Lauren Richards and Kaitlyn Shelly; stepson Mi- chael III (Don- na), stepdaughter Christine McAuliffe (John); a niece, Stephanie Smithson (Frank) and nephew Christopher Madsen, their families and numerous beautiful grand- children and great-grandchil- dren. The family is grateful to her caregivers at the Stratford at Beyer Park for their loving and compassionate care. Dorothy Quadrino March 8, 1930 November 22, 2020 Modesto, California Our handsome son Scott was taken from us within an hour after midnight on November 21, 2020 from a motorcycle accident. He had just turned 37 on November 20th. Like most of us, Scott had his challenges but he had a good heart and loved passionately. He had a great smile, was always polite, very personable and loved by family and many friends. He spent years in the Construc- tion trades and was a gifted tattoo artist.

He was unconditional- ly loved and survived by his parents Michael and Yvonne Hudson, brother Daniel Hudson, sisters Casie Han- sen and Raya Hudson, sons Dallin Sullivan and Lukah Hudson, grandmother Glo- ria Haston and many friends and extended family. Due to Covid19, there are no ser- vices scheduled at this time. To be determined going for- ward. Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus our sweet son. Scott Hudson November 20, 1983 November 21, 2020 Gustine, California Ro- salie Ann Rebelo, 82 of Gus- tine passed away Monday, November 23rd at her resi- dence in Gustine.

Mrs. Rebelo was born in Los Banos and was a lifelong resident of Gustine. She was a homemaker and a parishio- ner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and spending time with fam- ily and friends. Mrs.

Rebelo is survived by her son, Scott (Nicole) Re- belo of Modesto; daughters, Linda (Randy) Caldera of Modesto and Terry (Adam) Crigger of Santa Cruz; broth- ers, Jack Cotta of Brentwood and Joe Cotta of San Lean- dro; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Rebelo. A Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Rosary at 11:00 am, Tuesday, Decem- ber 1st at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. Rosalie Ann Rebelo August 6, 1938 November 23, 2020 Turlock, California Matias, our beloved son, left this world too soon. He leaves behind his parents Luis Yanez and Rylin Ames; grandparents and Jose Luis Yanez and Shyla Ames and Michael Mestaz; brother Zayden Vasquez; great grandparents Sherry and Rick Wisdom; many aunts and uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Brandon Barkman.
