Baird, a sophomor, is majoring in agriculture. Me is Interested in mechanics and dramatics. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Baird. Williamsfield Middle S c h o o I's Student Activities Assn. will purchase books, a bike rack and balls and bats lor the school, it was an* nounced during an awards assembly May 24. Members of the Williamsfield United Methodist Women, during a meeting May 23, approved a $25 donation to the Marty Rice Trust Fund. The Williamsfield boy is suffering from a rare form of leukemia. Members of the group also approved a $500 donation to the church debt retirement fund. Plans were also made to compile a birthday calendar for 1974. Mrs. Richard Peterson will be project committee chairman. The annual UMW district meeting will be Sept. 16 in Cralesburg, it was announced. A work day and June bazaar will be held at the Ross Baird farm home June 6 beginning at 9 a.m. Mrs. Vera Stodgel will be assisting hostess. Williamsfield United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School will be held June 4-15. Sessions will be held weekdays from 9-11 a.m. Williamsfield Sugar V Spice 4-H club members and leaders attended -worship services May 27 at the United Methodist Church here. Robert Smith spoke to the congregation about the purpose of 4-H.
