TELLS IT TO DEHEEH LeehCoiman- Hastens to Chicago to Make Report lot Caucus claims; BIG VICTORY Chicago Papers Say Deneen Men Elected Every Man orfftreir Ticket Much Rejoicing 4 I Lee Coleman made his regular weekly report to tne Deneeri headquarters.

Lee had a wonderful story to tell of the caucuses held here Sat uurday and Boy O. West, campaign manager for Mr. Deneen, who draws an annual salary of as a mem ber of the Board of Review, imme d)ately sent the for newspaper report era in Chicago to have himself interviewed. The election In Belvidere was de clared a great victory for Deneen. The Chicago News gave it promin ence last evening.

It is probable that the defeat of Messrs. Perkins, Durham, Lawrence, Bislow, Clarke, Sullivan and PeMunn was claimed to be due to the Deneen forces. The News said Perkins was de feated because he was secretary of the Fuller club. It also said that Dr. Whitman worked with the Lowden forces to beat the Deneen and told a great many other funny things about the primaries.

To 'the people in Belvidere these stories are absured and appeal ridiculous. Mr. Coleman may think he is doing Mr. Deneen a great service to claim everything that happened in Belvidere Saturday was because of the overwhelming forces of Deneen. Mr Perkins was defeated once be fore by Mr.

Church and possibly the former defeat will also be claimed now to be because Deneen wanted it S3. It also may be claimed that Deneen gave orders to have that worthy and deserving citizen, Mr. Durham, slaughtered, and probably said that Sumner DeMuno must not win and also some of the others, but we hardly think so. Mr. West did not tell the Chicago newspapers about tne unaernanoeo methods employed by the Deneen forces In Belvidere to fool the people on a town committee deal for the reason orobably that Lee Coleman failed to Inform him just how the people were hoodwinked.

Ic may be pleasing to the ring that schemed the deal to make a loud boast about what they id, but there will be a reckoning later when every voter win understand iuny what the I issue will be and every voter will have a free chance to vote as-he believes. Thefe' wlll be no burying of ballots, no Intimidation at the polls, but a fair and Just of the people. CH OKED TO DEATH Ate Meat for His Dinner Yester- day and Died John W.
