Mrs. Wilma Wait, Logan avenue, and Debra Thomas, twoyear old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Thomas, Kirkland, were admitted Wednesday. Dismissed Tuesday were Herman Smith, 511 McKinley avenue; Fred Smith, Capron, and William Kuehne, Buchanan street.

Dismissed Wednesday were Mrs. Christine Taylor, route Larry Tom, route Mrs. Robert Pape and infant son, 415 Kishwaukee street, and Mrs. Lottie Sachtleben, route 1, Marengo. The 32nd id district, which Manning, of Rochelle, and McConnell, of Woodstock, represent, includes Boone, DeKalb, McHenry and Ogle counties. Moore also reported that state Senator Robert McClory, Lake Bluff, representative of the 52nd senatorial district which includes Boone County, has accepted an invitation to the meeting although McClory will not be on the program. Moore added that members of county taxing bodies had also been invited to the dinner meeting. Cleo Simons, 53, rural Marengo, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Copley Memorial hospital, Aurora, after a lingering illness. She was born near Gibson City April 26, 1904, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weaver, The family moved to Marengo when she was a child and she was educated in that city.

Her marriage to R.C. Simons took place in Dubuque, Iowa, in April, 1939. He survives as do three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Meckley, Belvidere, Mrs. Lois Reppy, Oswego, and Miss Rolene Simons, at home; four grandchildren; her parents, John and Rachel Weaver, Aurora; four sisters, Mrs.

Verda Yates of Pomona, and Mrs. Opal Simon, Mrs. Esther Geise and Mrs. Sue Caviness, all of Aurora, and two brothers, William and Otto. Mrs.

Simons was predeceased by her first husband, John Davis; a son, Robert Davis; a daughter, Audrey Davis; two sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Osborne funeral home in Marengo by the Rev. Harold George of the Marengo Methodist church. Burial will be in Marengo city cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m.

Thursday. Charles Stiles Dies In Hospital Charles Stiles, 71, of Garden Prairie died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's hospital following one year of failing health. He was born in Belvidere June 14, 1886, the son of John and Mary Lewis Stiles.

He was educated in Belvidere and engaged in farming. His first marriage was to Nina Lanning, who preceded him in death. His marriage to Zada Riddell took place in DeKalb Jan. 11, 1956. She survives as does a step-son, Everett Lanning, Belvidere.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Atkins Johnson funeral home. Burial will be in the Highland Garden of Memories. J. Strom Receives Honor Mrs. A. J. Strom has received notice from the Rockford Writers guild, of which she is an active member, that her poem, Mother," has received first honors in the annual poetry contest which the Guild sponsors.

This is Mrs. Strom's fourth poem which has received recognition. Following the Rockford Writers guild usual custom, winning poems will be exhibited in the Rockford Public library from Oct. 21 to Nov. ember 16.

Alice L. Ferguson, 90, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in Maple Crest, after an illness of six months. She was born in Reinersville, Ohio, Aug. 10, 1867, the daughter of Dr.

Lucius and Julie Tucker Culver. She was educated in schools in Reinersville. Her marriage to Charles L. Ferguson took place Sept. 18, 1911 in Zanesville, Ohio.

He died June 18, 1956. Most of her married life was spent in Belvidere except for a stay of some time in South Dakota. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Presbyterian church. She was the last of her family.

Survivors include two nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Witbeck-Wheeler-Sabien funeral home by Dr. Ray Turner of the First Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Belvidere cemetery.

Tuesday at the intersection of highways 76. and 20, were fined in magistrate court. They were identified by Belvidere Patrolmen Gary Penney and Ronald Carlson as Norman C. Burke, Rockford, and Gene Revolinski, route 1, Belvidere. The patrolmen stated that Burke was headed north on North State street and attempted to enter highway 20 just as the eastbound Revolinski car was turning from highway 20 onto highway 76.

The front end of the Revolinski car was heavily damaged it collided with the right front section of the Burke car. Police charged Burke with falure to signal a left turn and Revolinski with failure to yield the right of way and failure to have a valid operator's license. Each driver was fined $10 and court costs in Belvidere police magistrate court, and $5 suspensions were allowed in each case. David Revolinski, of 1133 Ruby street, brother to Gene, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with an inadequate muffler. His hearing is slated for 9 p.m.

Thursday in magistrate court. ROBIRTHS Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zeka, 1431 South Main street, are the parents of a nine pound, two ounce son born Saturday in St. Joseph's hospital.

Sgt. and Mrs. Richard Steinke of Worms, Germany, are the parents of a son, James Grant, born Oct. 7. The baby weighed eight pounds, six ounces.

Esther L. Oakden, of 1101 Warren avenue, who makes a hobby out of recipes, cashed in on her culinary pasttime by winning a $3,000 prize Tuesday in the Pillsbury's Ninth Grand National BakeOff in Beverly Hills, Calif. Mrs. Oakden's prize-winner was a "honey chocolate pie" which combines melted chocolate chips with an uncooked filling of egg, honey and sour cream. The local woman was one of the 100 housewives in the United States who competed for some $100,000 in prize money at the national event.

Mrs. Deborah W. Ludwig, wife of a Forest Park dental student, won the top bride's prize of $3,000 with her "herb stickles," a recipe for salt-bread sticks flavored with caraway, dill, parsley and chives. Mrs. Oakden's husband, William, an engineer with the Gannett Fleming Corddry and Carpenter civil engineer firm in.

Belvidere, remarked: "For her sake, I'm very much elated. It is only a hobby with her, and she concocted the recipe herself. During his tenure it grew from a group of 500 members to an organization providing service and insurance for 250,000 motorists.
