Every permit issued-for, a project should be posted as near to the building project as possible.

Many persons are not doing this and It's hard to tell whether they have a permit or not. Another problem which tends' to delay the securing of a building permit la the failure of residents to supply an adequate sketch to the project when applying for permit. Because the sketch Is not submitted, two or three trip are Usually required before a permit is granted br a construction project. It would well to remember that a sketch of the project together with a drawing of existing buildings, lot size and distances to lot line and the location of the lot would facilitate the securing of a permit. A new building form will be available June 1 at the building Inspector's 503 West Perry street.

The new forms are much simpler than the ones presently Used and contain all the needed information on one page. Construction In Belvidere this month has been confined to small projects and dwelling construction About 25 permits have been Issued for Building projects during May which brings the total number of permits for the year to 66.
